Job Summary
Troubleshoots and performs preventative maintenance on all utility systems including electrical circuits, motor controls, safety circuits, and HVAC systems utilizing specialized equipment and skills. Grounds maintenance/ie mowing/snow removal. Complete all necessary paperwork, assists with inventory etc, keep updated SDS and campus inspections, assists contractors with repairs and inspections. Position is on the MCTC Rowan Campus. 




Job Duties:
Assist and/or responding to emergency calls and or break downs, help troubleshoot and performs corrective maintenance on all utility systems including single and 3 phase electrical circuits, lighting circuits, HVAC units, automated systems and building alarm situations. Performs corrective maintenance on pneumatics, plumbing fixtures and buildings piping systems, performs basic carpentry skills and general building maintenance. Complete all necessary paperwork for purchases, re-order supplies and parts, and perform campus inspections. Performs cleaning in the absence of custodial staff if necessary for coverage of assigned area (classrooms, offices, commons and disinfecting and maintenance of restrooms). Assists with event set-up, moving of furniture and/or equipment. Operates equipment ie; (forklift, lawn equipment, snow removal eq.) Maintains grounds by blowing off walks, mowing, pulling weeds in flower beds, picking up trash around campus, empty outside trash cans, salting lots walks and snow removal. (forklift and other trainings will be provided). Assists with SDS labeling and removal of hazardous waste. Assist with contractors repairs and safety inspections of the campus buildings. Performs minor repairs and maintenance on equipment such as tractors, mowing equipment and vehicles. Opens and locks buildings when required. Other duties as assigned including working on-call as necessary for emergency situations or as assigned. 




Minimum Qualifications:
High school degree with 1-3 years of experience. This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, operate various equipment (e.g., forklifts, lawn mowers, snow removal tools), and perform manual tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments, including working in varying weather conditions.&nbsp;

Benefits you can count on: <ul><li>Pay rate: Training - $23.00 per hour, 100% Production - $26.00 per hour. </li><li>Shift Information: 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm), two non-consecutive off days (one weekday and Saturday), Fridays and Sundays REQUIRED.</li><li>Generous benefits that start on your 60th day: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance. </li><li>Earn vacation time, and sick leave accrual from day one and paid holidays after 90 days. </li><li>401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days. </li><li>Additional benefits: pet insurance, parental leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement program, and more! </li></ul> What you'll do as a Warehouse Selector: <ul><li>Select product and load trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse. </li><li>May work in various areas of the warehouse such as Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer, and others. </li><li>McLane provides freezer suits, hats, and gloves to you. </li><li>Review documents and record information; verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product. </li><li>Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock. </li><li>Hand-stack product on occasion when items are off balance or in the wrong location. </li><li>Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders. </li><li>Clean work area. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate: <ul><li>At least 18 years of age. </li><li>Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift to 50 pounds or more. </li><li>At least 1 year of distribution warehouse experience, including operation of reach truck, pallet jack, and forklift is preferred, but not required. </li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
