These primarily include administration, proctoring, and proper security of testing materials. We also administer basic skills assessment tests, class testing for teachers including online courses, testing for off-campus agencies, other colleges and universities, and the administration of exams such as Certiport, CLEP, DSST, HESI, Kryterion, and HiSET.
Typical Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
85% Test Administration
1. Operates Testing Centers with or without Testing Technician I (checks in students, pulls student tests, finds passwords, handles student/instructor concerns, seats examinees, helps examinees log-on to computers, starts timing instruments as needed, collects completed tests and testing materials, watches examinees to ensure administration conditions are met in the Testing Centers, etc.).
2. Successfully complete requirement necessary to achieve certification to administer a number of standardized exams, such as Certiport, CLEP, DSST,HESI, Kryterion, and HiSET.
3. Explains individual testing requirements and procedures to students and resolves any misunderstandings using appropriate customer service and management techniques. 4. Collaborate with faculty regarding test revisions, availability of tests, and guidelines and testing options for various tests.
5. Prepare an Incident Report to document irregularities, testing discrepancies, or dishonesty and forward report and copies of pertinent materials to faculty and Test Supervisor.
6. Maintains an optimal testing environment that adheres to college, standardized and National College Testing Association (NCTA) standards.
7. Collaborates with Supervisor, Test Administrators, and other testing staff regarding improving/changing testing operations, staffing, and updating of Testing Center policies and procedures.
8. Provides information, clarification and advice to testing staff regarding test delivery, policies, procedures, test retrieval and use of specialized computer testing software.
9. Interprets often complicated procedures for administration of proctored tests from other colleges/universities and standardized testing companies; and comprehends delivery methods for several categories of tests, including classroom make-up, Internet, CBT, essays, pre-GED, and other remote/proctored exams delivered paper/pencil or computer-based format.

Performs office related duties as required, including answering phones and making test appointments, preparing deposits for testing funds, creating flyers for test schedules and policies, answering test questions, scanning tests or answer sheets, making copies, filing, and faxing/mailing tests/reports.

Required Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent. -Experience with the use of computer equipment and knowledge of office related skills. -Certification training and exams must be completed prior to administering tests that require such certification (HiSET, CLEP, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications: -One year prior full-time work experience administering standardized paper/pencil and computer based testing. (Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% of full-time experience.)

Must have excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Must have excellent decision-making skills. Excellent customer service and computer-related skills are required to be fully qualified for this position. A second language is not needed or required.

      Testing Center Technician II (Temporary Part-Time)
    

Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Engineering Technology
Campus Location:&nbsp;Sevier Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)
Job Purpose:&nbsp;Expected to teach Associate of Applied Science- level Engineering Technology classes and laboratories. This position’s primary area of responsibility will be the Engineering Systems Technology degree, and requires experience in at least two of the following four primary area: Mechanical systems, Computer aided drafting, Machining and inspection, and Operations management. Also, will perform minor repairs and periodic maintenance on equipment assigned to the Engineering Technology Programs.
Essential Job Functions:
<ul>
<li>Provide instruction and training in the Engineering Systems Technology program and its disciplines. Instruction will cover, but is not limited to, mechanical systems, computer aided design, and manual and CNC machining and operations management.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and processes relative to engineering technology.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Share responsibility for day-to-day operation and routine upkeep of classrooms, labs, and equipment.&nbsp;</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or other degree title related to the discipline. 
</li>
<li>Minimum of (3) years’ experience in the field. Consideration will also be given to graduates of B.S. programs in the fields of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Technology when accompanied by a strong demonstration of experience in disciplines previously mentioned through application and/or professional certifications. 
</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in the area of mechanical systems. 
</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks and /or REVIT. 
</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in manual and and CNC machining. 
</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in operations management and quality assurance. 
</li>
<li>Teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level or documented experience as a professional industrial trainer specifically in electrical and electronic applications. 
</li>
<li>Must be willing to support evening and distance education offerings as needed to reach students in varying demographics. 
</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Preferential consideration will also be given to holders of graduate degrees in fields of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Technology, but only if the B.S. requirements are also met. 
</li>
<li>Disciplines in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial and Applied Engineering will receive the highest consideration. 
</li>
<li>Experience in course delivery through hybrid and online technologies will be considered a plus. 
</li>
</ul>
