You and your team are responsible for identifying critical data, maintaining data definitions, classifying data, supporting data sourcing / usage requests, evaluating Data Quality Controls, and confirming Data Issues are remediated. You have the opportunity to partner across various business units, technology teams, and product/platform teams to define and implement the data governance strategy, monitoring and managing data quality, resolving data/platform issues, driving consistency, usability, and governance of specific product data across the organization.YourPrimary Responsibilities may include:<ul><li>Data Analytics and Strategy</li><li>Overall leadership, oversight and monitoring of databases and execution of processes to bring data under governance (e.g., system of record vs authorized data source definitions, purge policies, data mapping, identifying data management roles, documenting data and classifying systems etc.)</li><li>Partner with AXP Chief Data Office to customize the Enterprise Data Governance, Management and Sharing program to the needs of the Business</li><li>Define frameworks, operating model and organizational change considerations for data governance and management in support of new and existing data capabilities</li><li>Collaborate with data owners and users to modify or implement new repeatable and reliable businesses processes in order to implement truly effective data management</li><li>Harmonize key policies and guidelines (e.g. Data Quality, Data Definition, Data Creation. Data Sharing, Data Usage policies) with the processes necessary to carry out those policies, in collaboration with multi-functional partners</li><li>Partner with legal, compliance and operational excellence to account for and uphold diverse privacy and compliance requirements across geographies.
