Position Summary: Pellissippi State Community College is seeking qualified contract instructors (s) to teach HVAC training classes for its Workforce and Community Development Department. We are specifically seeking an instructor for evening classes to be taught on an ongoing basis.
 Instructors work on a part-time, temporary contract to provide educational instruction for a specific class or workforce training. Instructors are expected to be subject matter experts on their topic, will be responsible for delivery of instruction, and may be responsible for developing instructional materials. Current and retired industry leaders and past military personnel with technical training and the ability to teach are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications: Technical certificate or degree in HVAC or Industrial Electricity with a high degree of knowledge and work experience in safety, tools and materials, installation, troubleshooting, and repairing various commercial and HVAC systems. EPA Universal Certification.

Skills/Abilities: Minimum three years of experience as an HVAC technician in a commercial or industrial setting is required

ResponsibilitiesThe Tooling Engineer position is responsible for coordinating new and replacement tool builds involving core dies, fixtures, and auxiliary tooling used in the manufacture of ceramic cores for the investment casting process. <li>Aid in the identification and integration of emerging instructional technologies and pedagogical innovations.</li>
<li>Support faculty recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, professional development, and performance evaluation processes.</li>
<li>Coordinate activities related to program development, program learning outcomes, programmatic assessment, data collection, and reporting for institutional effectiveness and compliance.</li>
<li>Serve as a resource for faculty and students by interpreting and enforcing academic policies and procedures; assist with student complaints and grade appeals.</li>
<li>Represent the academic division on internal committees and at external meetings, as assigned.</li>

Title: Student Services Specialist I, Southeast Campus
POSITION SUMMARY This front desk position will be the first point of contact for new, continuing and prospective students. It is responsible for assessing student questions and determining the appropriate actions to take, as well as providing the information needed to enroll and be successful at Nashville State.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides general information regarding admissions, financial aid, career services, and student records to prospective students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Provides student-centered services via various platforms while maintaining a professional and congenial demeanor. Processes student requests for enrollment services.
Assists students with using computer kiosks for admissions and financial aid services. Schedules appointments, coordinates access and distributes documents to other departments across campus. Helps facilitate the resolution of student issues. Captures, reports and evaluates feedback for services provided in each student interaction. Collaborates in the evaluation of creative approaches to promote/advertise NSCC to prospective students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma
Minimum two years’ customer service experience
Proficiency in basic computer software
Excellent oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree or higher
Two years’ experience working in higher education
Multilingual, preferably in Spanish and/or Arabic
Experience with Banner
General knowledge of student services policies and procedures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Aptitude for analyzing student questions and requests. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. This is a full-time permanent position under the supervision of the assigned Custodial Supervisor. The custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas and related work as required. He/she is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend at any Southwest Tennessee Community College location as assigned. Work is reviewed and evaluated through inspection of work performed. Specific duties may vary depending on the type of facility to be cleaned. This position primarily reports to the Union Avenue campus. This position may be contacted during non-duty hours.
Job Duties

<li>Sweeps, mops and buffs stairs, corridors and floors.</li>
<li>Strips and waxes offices in assigned areas.</li>
<li>Cleans bathroom walls, floors, and fixtures; replenishes bathroom supplies and stock closets with supplies for contract service workers; responds to all emergency calls about custodial services in assigned areas.</li>
<li>Washes windows, polishes furniture and cleans woodwork in assigned areas.</li>
<li>Checks hallways and stairways for graffiti and debris.</li>
<li>Empties trash cans and cleans containers.</li>
<li>Vacuums carpets.</li>
<li>Picks up paper and debris on ground.</li>
<li>May perform other duties assigned.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
