This team member will:</p><ul><li>Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.</li><li>Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.</li><li>Perform regular backups, restore operations, and disaster recovery planning.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.</li><li>Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and database integration.</li><li>Automate routine database tasks using scripting and automation tools.</li><li>Maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in cloud databases.</li></ul><h4>Qualifications</h4><p><strong>Required Qualificiations:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field</li><li>3-10 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on cloud environments</li><li> Active Secret Clearance</li><li>Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud</li><li>Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)</li><li>Experience with database performance tuning and optimization</li><li>Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance standards</li><li>Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)</li><li>Understanding of networking concepts and protocols</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Security+ or equivalent certification</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Certifications such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer</li><li>Experience with database migration and replication tools</li><li>Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)</li><li>Familiarity with data warehousing and big data technologies (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment</li></ul><h4><br>LMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
