Ultimately, the lab hopes to uncover how alterations in mitochondrial transport support a cell’s adaptation to changing environments with the long-term goals of identifying ways to prevent or delay the onset of aging and age-related diseases.More information can be found on the lab’s website: <a href="http://www.kory-lab.com" target="_blank">www.kory-lab.com</a>Job-Specific Responsibilities:Duties of the Research Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:<ul><li>Work efficiently and cooperatively with a team of researchers in support of projects</li><li>Perform laboratory experiments, data analysis and assist with manuscript preparation</li><li>Participate in laboratory meetings and planning sessions</li><li>Search out, read, discuss and apply relevant scientific literature</li><li>Oversight of essential equipment and maintenance</li><li>Attend department meetings and scientific talks</li><li>Serve as a resource for both students and staff for a variety of issues</li><li>Assist other scientists as required and performs other duties as assigned</li></ul>PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term appointment of one year from date of hire with the possibility of extension.
