Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?</p><h4><b>Responsibilities</b></h4><ul><li>Creates accurate and detailed design drawings, diagrams, maps, and plans for utility distribution and telecommunication systems using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software for routine/simple designs using correct mapping symbols, callouts, decals, and proper tie downs, using CAD, AUD, etc.</li><li>Assists with creating visualization deliverables including detailed plans, profiles, schematics, renderings, animations, and documentation to support design review and construction</li><li>Leverages specifics from geographic surveys, photogrammetry, and geospatial data into drawings and models</li><li>Completes load flow, short circuit, and power quality analyses to validate electrical system designs</li><li>Assist with work order costing, labor estimates and supplemental form completion. Update online service requests</li><li>Checks planners redlines for accuracy and completeness</li><li>Prepares and revises design sketches for proposals and authorizations based on field information</li><li>Evaluates electrical clearance requirements and ensure designs adhere to all applicable standards and regulations</li><li>Complete engineering functions and calculations in AUD(i.e.,cable pulling, voltage drop, flicker, etc.)</li><li>Supports design efforts on smaller scale projects such as residential or small commercial design</li><li>A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.</li></ul><h4><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h4><ul><li>Experience with computer-aided design software.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working in the Electric Utility industry.</li><li>Experience with electric utility design.</li><li>Experience with Design Manager.</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD.</li><li>AutoCAD Certification.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p><ul><li>This position’s work mode is&nbsp;<strong>hybrid.&nbsp;</strong>The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and&nbsp;reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.&nbsp;The work mode can be changed based on business needs.</li><li>Visit our&nbsp;Candidate Resource&nbsp;page to get meaningful information related to benefits, perks, resources, testing information, hiring process, and more!</li><li>Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.</li><li>This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.</li><li>Relocation does not apply to this position.</li><li>As of July 1, 2025, this position falls within the representation of ESC Local 20.
