MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Associate Instructor is responsible for providing individualized theory and hands-on instruction to adult and high school students to prepare them for employment in the field. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: drawing techniques, CAD and drafting, technical drawing, additive manufacturing, civil design, mechanical design, architectural design, structural design, solid modeling, etc. The Associate Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; assist in recruiting new students, and assist with graduate placement. This position must also maintain good public relations with business and industry; maintain an active advisory committee; cooperate with outside agencies; and supervise and follow-up on students participating in cooperative education. This position is full-time and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Scheduled class hours are Monday through Friday, 2:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. All instruction is delivered in-person; this is not a remote work position. Anticipated start date March 2, 2026.
SALARY:&nbsp; $50,894-$61,074 annually ($26.10-$31.32 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and directly related experience.

Job Duties
Primary Responsibilities (D2L System Administration – 70%) • Serve as the lead system administrator for Brightspace by D2L, managing system settings, course shells, user roles, permissions, and global configurations. • Monitor system performance and coordinate with D2L and IT teams to ensure reliability, accessibility, and security. • Test, implement, and manage third-party integrations, such as publisher content, proctoring tools, plagiarism detection systems, and accessibility platforms. • Provide Tier 2 LMS support, troubleshooting escalated issues for faculty, staff, and students. • Collaborate with the IT department and D2L on feature updates, new releases, and configuration enhancements. • Conduct system testing, quality assurance, and sandbox environment management before major rollouts or upgrades. • Generate and analyze LMS usage reports and analytics to support institutional reporting and decision-making. • Ensure LMS compliance with accessibility standards and contribute to accessibility audit initiatives. • Maintain internal documentation and workflow guides related to LMS processes, tools, and best practices. • Serve as the main contact for D2L technical support and vendor communications. • Manage and maintain the CTAT website, ensuring content is up to date, user-friendly, and aligned with the department’s instructional and support initiatives.

      Adjunct Instructor – Interior Design Technology
    

Title: Adjunct Instructor – Design for Web and Print

Position Summary: To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.
Department: Engineering &amp; Media Technologies
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi. 2. Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned. 3. Submitting requests through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids. 4. Evaluating the academic progress of students. 5. Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook. 6. Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required. 7. Scheduling two office hours. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the Dean describing how students can access the instructor. Office hours are not paid during the summer session.
Required Qualifications: Associates’ degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in the teaching field or closely related field and three years’ work experience in the Design for Web and Print field

Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.
