It also seeks to cultivate and foster technical innovation, as well as elevate and amplify the technical heartbeat of the organization.This position reports directly to the VP of Product R&amp;D and will act as a strategic partner and advisor in terms of technology, innovation, intellectual property, know-how, organizational technical core competency, R&amp;D strategy, product commercialization, program execution as well as being a key member of the CTO leadership team. This role works closely with strategic product, technology and venture partners to define the needs being addressed in each R&amp;D program and deliver the concepts, capabilities, designs, and plans to meet these needs. This role will also ensure that R&amp;D projects are delivered on time, in budget and that the products meet specifications.On any given day, you might:<ul><li>Research emerging technologies such as Quantum Computing, Post-Quantum Cryptography, Metaverse &amp; Web3, AR/VR, and AI/ML, with a focus on establishing strategies, developing impactful experiments, launching new products and other early-stage product development activities.</li></ul><ul><li>Partner with Engineering Research to identify emerging-tech opportunities to embrace new technologies that will solve future problems.</li></ul><ul><li>As technologies and concepts mature, mobilize applicable company teams to experiment with and adopt emerging tech.</li></ul><ul><li>Serve as a subject matter expert and business partner who can educate both technical and non-technical users across the company.</li></ul><ul><li>Create and test hypothesis with early stage tech that may lead to solutions to meaningful technical and business challenges.</li></ul><ul><li>Partner across the organization to lead R&amp;D efforts and processes in acquiring an in-depth understanding of the customer needs, and applying both strategic and tactical methods to stay on top of the evolving trends in the competitive landscape.</li></ul><ul><li>Act as both a strategic problem solver and architect for the future technology and capability needs of CTO R&amp;D to implement business strategy</li></ul><ul><li>Drive continuous organizational and leadership development to enable R&amp;D growth.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering related subjects.</li></ul><ul><li>At least 7 years of Product Research, Product Development and/or leadership experience in technology roles.</li></ul><ul><li>A deep understanding of the FinTech industry generally.</li></ul><ul><li>Proven track record building, launching and driving products through the life cycle.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to bring innovative thinking couples with practical execution to solve multi-dimensional issues.</li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrated leadership and management experience in working with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams on complex projects.</li></ul><ul><li>Understands team dynamics and experienced at building teams that deliver results.
