The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing nursing services each shift and functions as a nursing supervisor. This position provides daily supervision of staff on duty during operational hours.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.<ul><li> Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.</li><li> Demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours.</li><li> Complete and document monthly review of patient medication profiles. Administer medications as ordered by the physician.</li><li> Assist physician during patient rounds and transcribe and implement physician orders timely.</li><li> Assist with the implementation of anemia management and medication protocols as requested.</li><li> Knowledge of and comply with federal, state, local laws and regulations, including health care professionals practice act requirements.</li><li> Perform duties at all times within limitations established by and in accordance with company policy and procedures, applicable state and federal laws and regulations.</li><li> May give direct patient care to the extent of performing efficient, safe dialysis, if allowed by state regulations.</li><li> Responds to all emergencies in clinic.</li><li> Communicate results of patient assessment, reassessment, and ongoing monitoring to the physician, team members, and others as appropriate to the individual needs of the patient.</li><li> Maintain collaborative working relationship with Medical Director and physicians.</li><li> Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary team in all required patient assessment and care planning activities.</li><li> Assist in orientation of new staff as a preceptor or in assigning a preceptor.</li><li> Acts as resource person and participates in implementing and evaluating dialysis services and assures that policies and procedures are updated.</li><li>Assists Administrator in interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and disciplinary actions of center staff</li></ul>

The position would also be responsible for performing all regulatory requirements for Hearing Tests, Respirator Fit Testing and other required testing for employees as well as other related activities related to an Industrial Nurse.Your Day to Day:<ul><li>Perform daily case management of all work-related incidents</li><li>Perform weekly hearing tests and establish follow up exams with Audiologist</li><li>Perform weekly respirator fit tests and associated training</li><li>Perform weekly pulmonary functions test</li><li>Build tracking database for all testing requirements</li><li>Hold monthly CPR classes and review HEP B program</li><li>Check all AED's monthly</li><li>Calibrate equipment on a monthly basis</li><li>Administer annual flu shots</li><li>Set up quarterly blood drives</li><li>Attend weekly safety meetings</li><li>Order supplies and restock on a weekly basis</li><li>Perform blood pressure checks on daily/weekly basis</li><li>Perform First Aid outside of medical treatment</li><li>May be required to perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team:<ul><li>Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required, Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BNS) and 2 years of Occupational Health experience</li><li>Manufacturing/Industrial environment experience is preferred</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform blood pressure checks, pulmonary function testing and respiratory fit testing</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform respiratory testing, PAPR testing, audiograms/education/training, and CPR training</li><li>Fundamental knowledge of OSHA regulations</li><li>Demonstrated ability to calibrate audiometric equipment</li><li>Working knowledge of workers compensation guidelines and case management</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform testing on EARfit system, drug screens (urine, cheek swab, etc.) and administer flu shots</li><li>Basic ability to order supplies and file paperwork, etc.</li><li>Ability to work independently and with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally</li><li>Minimal travel required (0 - 10 days per year)</li><li>Availability to be on-call 24/7</li><li>Work environment is typical of an office setting in a manufacturing facility; may be exposed from time to time to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.</li><li>May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds</li></ul>Please Keep in Mind If you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
