POSTING NUMBER:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(N111-2425)POSTING DATE:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;July 12, 2024CLOSING DATE:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;July 25, 2024POSITION:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Mental Health ClinicianREPORTS TO:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Health Services Coordinator and/or Senior Executive Director of Special Education and Pupil ServicesPRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide clinical mental health services to students enrolled in the School Based Health Center.TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provide psychosocial assessment to students.2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provide individual and group counseling to students and their parents.3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provide crisis intervention.4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Refer students to appropriate community resources for social and mental health services when needed.5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Aid in developing standard procedures to handle crisis.6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work as a team with the School Based Health Center staff and other staff from the school.7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Serve as Field Instructor for student interns.8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Help clinic staff identify students at risk, and facilitate access to appropriate services.9.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provide written documentation and billing documentation of all services.10.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provide monthly reports and maintain records as required by School Clinic and the Department of Public Health.11.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Advise on and promote mental health issues relevant to the student population and the clinic.12.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Contribute to the development of standard operational procedures for mental health related services at one specific school.13.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Participate in staff development within the clinic and school.14.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Perform other duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology required.2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required.3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bilingual, Spanish/English preferred.4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrated success in working with school aged children, adolescents and families.5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively with school and community groups.6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Prior experience as a community clinic provider7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to work under difficult time constraints.8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of services and resources available in the Hartford area.CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Non-CertifiedSALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Ten-month work year.
