Skills include demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the department’s immediate needs and long term growth goals, showing initiative, using critical thinking to problem solve independently, exhibiting leadership qualities, and effectively engaging with the clinical team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for the general oversight, assessment, planning, and construction of the nursing care delivered to the participant.</li><li>Assess a patient through obtaining history, performing appropriate tests, making or collecting observations from the participant and caregivers, and consulting with other members of the IDT.</li><li>Teaches patients and families health care regimens. Explains and provides information regarding disease and wellness, tests, results, medications, diet, exercise, and other aspects of the plan of care to patients.</li><li>Safely and effectively administers medications, tests and treatments as ordered. Manages the refills of all patient medications with appropriate authorization by the provider.</li><li>Provide and coordinate health teaching required by individuals, families and groups to maintain the optimal possible level of health.</li><li>Completes biannual and status change nursing assessments for an assigned panel of participants in accordance with Care Planning Policy and documents problems, goals &amp; interventions in the participant’s care plan.</li><li>Utilizes Assessment tools including but not limited to PACE Nurse Assessment and Medication Management to collect data.</li></ul>Qualifications and Requirements:<ul><li>Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred. In-Home Therapy Clinician

Position SummaryThe RN performs pre-surgical nursing assessments and provides education to the patient prior to admission at the Ambulatory Surgery Center.&nbsp; The RN assesses and evaluates the care needs of the patient, requests necessary pre-surgical clearances and diagnostics, and communicates the patient's plan of care to the ASC.Schedule: 4x10s, Tuesday through Friday&nbsp;(no nights, no call, no weekends)Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe key duties and responsibilities of the RN include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Work with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care to the patient throughout their surgical experience</li><li>Maintain a friendly, positive and caring attitude with all patients, physicians and staff</li><li>Assist in patient education during all phases of their experience at the Center</li><li>Assist in assuring that the proper supplies, instruments and equipment are available for the procedure</li><li>Assist in assuring that equipment is functioning properly</li><li>Monitor use of all supplies.
