Remote Job Summary The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing pre-visit activities for UK HealthCare patients including appointment coordination and scheduling; resolution of patient complaints; collection and verification of demographic information and insurance/payer source information and correction of registration errors; as well as maintain HIPAA compliance and comply with all UKHC policies regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. This position will also participate in unit and Enterprise activities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. This is a remote work position. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented; possess patient scheduling and health insurance knowledge; have the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; be proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); have solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills; and have a high level of respect for confidentiality.
