Practical Nursing Multi-Campus Instructor (Full-Time) Position
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Upper Cumberland is accepting applications for the position of Practical Nursing Instructor. This position will serve multiple campuses until the Bledsoe County Campus is completed, at which time the primary assignment will be at the Bledsoe County location. The Practical Nursing Instructor will work under the direction of the Coordinator of Practical Nursing and collaborate closely with Practical Nursing faculty. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high standard of personal and professional ethics and possess a sincere interest in teaching and the nursing profession. A criminal background check is required for the selected applicant.
Minimum Qualifications:&nbsp;

The position is grant-funded, responsible for providing instruction and supervision for Practical Nursing students, with a primary focus on high school dual-enrollment learners participating in an accelerated healthcare career pathway program. Working in partnership with Ballad Health, this role delivers classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction; supports student skill development; and ensures a positive, professional learning environment. The instructor maintains accurate records, assists with program development and recruitment, and models the professional standards expected in the nursing field. This position is funded through December 31, 2026, with continuation dependent upon available grant funding. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.</li>
<li>Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of Tennessee.</li>
<li>Minimum of three (3) years of RN experience within the last five (5) years, OR</li>
<li>two (2) years of RN experience within the last five (5) years plus 24 credit hours toward a higher nursing degree.</li>
<li>Prior teaching experience or evidence of teaching ability preferred.</li>
<li>Must meet all requirements established by clinical sites (subject to change at the discretion of the clinical sites).</li>

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Elizabethton is accepting applications for the part-time position of Adjunct Instructor in Practical Nursing with rotating campuses, Kingsport, Boones Creek, and Elizabethton. The adjunct practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Director of Clinical Education along with the PN faculty, shall be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, initiating, and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting.&nbsp;In addition, the adjunct practical nursing instructor shall maintain appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation; provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervise students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintain good public relations with clinical partners.&nbsp;The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.&nbsp;Some travel is required.
Salary:&nbsp; $30 per hour/Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
