<br><h4>Manufacturing Engineering Manager</h4><h4>Position Purpose</h4><p>This position is responsible for managing the Manufacturing Engineering Team.&nbsp; This group consist of Manufacturing Engineers, Product Specialists and Layout Technicians.</p><h4>Major Tasks, Responsibilities &amp; Key Accountabilities</h4><ul><li>Lead, manage, and develop the manufacturing engineering team.</li><li>Support HS&amp;E safe work methods, ergonomics, and other HS&amp;E initiatives as needed.</li><li>Facilitates development and maintenance of all shop floor work instructions to provide adequate instruction to shop floor personnel, ensure products are built to design specifications and meet product quality objectives.</li><li>Ensure entire Team is trained, and actively engaged in all necessary manufacturing execution system activities.</li><li>Responsible for ownership of operational readiness as part of the formal NPI Process.&nbsp; </li><li>Responsible for production line balancing and factory labor planning process.</li><li>Lead effective process improvement activities to ensure attain safety, quality, cost and delivery goals and objectives.</li><li>Implement effective line layouts to improve material flow, optimize plant capacity, and eliminate waste.</li><li>Lead the preparation of major project planning, capital sanction requests and investments in plant, tooling, fixtures and equipment.</li><li>Ensure effective engagement and collaboration with Product Development Team to assist in developing and implementing DFM ideas.</li><li>Ensure effective engagement and collaboration with Quality Team to assist in defining root cause of quality defects and developing and implementing sustainable solutions.</li><li>Define, implement, and maintain effective capital investment and project execution planning tools to track and clearly articulate the status of capital projects and budget facilitation. </li><li>Identify, on-board and manage outside contractors as necessary to facilitate effective project completion. </li></ul><br><br><h4>Nature &amp; Scope</h4><p>Reports to Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing.</p><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering/technology preferred.</li><li>5+ years of manufacturing experience in a similar capacity</li></ul><br><h4>Preferred Qualifications</h4><p>Master’s Degree in mechanical, materials, or manufacturing engineering preferred</p><p>7+ years of manufacturing in a similar industry&nbsp; </p><h4>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities &amp; Competencies</h4><ul><li>Vast knowledge of manufacturing processes</li><li>Effective customer service and communication skills</li><li>Able to use strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Sound analytical skills with a practical balance of “shop floor” experience</li><li>Self-motivated and self-directed</li><li>Able to work effectively in a team environment through delegation</li><li>Ability to beflexible in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required</li><li>PFMEA, risk assessments on equipment and safety </li></ul><br><br><h4>Physical Requirements</h4><ul><li>Must be able to work flexible schedule, including but not limited to weekends</li><li>Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs</li><li>Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities.&nbsp; These activities may involve fine movements or large motions</li><li>Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist</li><li>Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed</li><li>Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force</li><li>Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time</li><li>Must be able to work in multiple climates including:&nbsp; hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment</li></ul><p>JCB is an equal employment opportunities (EEO) employer in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
