ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Provide a safe work environment and ensure all safety and environmental policies are being followed</li> <li>Establish, implement and adhere to all departmental policies and procedures and address any non-compliance issues when necessary&nbsp;</li> <li>Oversee the implementation and adherence of procedures, goals and objectives within the department</li> <li>Partner with the Operations Manager to establish daily, weekly, and monthly production targets that production planning provides via SIOP</li> <li>Collect and maintain data and metrics on the daily management boards and provide the Operations Manager with corrective actions needed when production targets are not being met</li> <li>Lead rework and scrap reduction teams and collaborate with other departments for overall systemic corrective actions to reduce the cost of non-conforming product</li> <li>Lead Kaizen and TPM events to improve OEE and cost reductions through DI implementation</li> <li>Review and distribute production orders to meet production schedules, quantities, and specifications of products for delivery</li> <li>Ensure production priorities are staged in work centers with flow coordination and adherence of dispatch reports and critical priority lists</li> <li>Collaborate with the sales department to ensure we are meeting OTIF expectations with the customers</li> <li>Manage labor, assets and material to ensure absorption targets are met</li> <li>Use operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications</li> <li>Assist the Operations Manager to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays</li> <li>Collaborate with project team leaders, engineering and maintenance to ensure project completion by deadlines</li> <li>Provides critical support as needed in other departments throughout the organization</li> <li>Inspect machines and equipment for safety and ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization</li> <li>Oversee +- 40 employees within the production department.
