The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining successful operations of an assigned area, department, or shift of the warehouse/distribution center. Benefits you can count on: <ul><li>Day 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA, and company-paid life insurance</li><li>Paid time off begins day one.</li><li>401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days.</li><li>Additional benefits: pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement program, and more!</li></ul> What you'll do as a Distribution Supervisor: <ul><li>Direct and motivate teammates.</li><li>Communicate company and division information to teammates.</li><li>Listen, address and follow-up to teammate concerns, questions and problems.</li><li>Facilitate communication within the warehouse leadership team and between division/warehouse leadership and teammates.</li><li>Understand DC goals and standards, implement department procedures to meet those standards, and promote them to and gain buy-in and positive results from teammates; standards may include but will not be limited to: productivity, order quality, damages, shrinkage, safety, sanitation, turnover and overtime.</li><li>Ensure department and warehouse procedures will cut unnecessary costs, add value for customers, and improve morale and the work environment for teammates.</li><li>Ensure the work environment is maintained in a clean and safe manner following government, company and Silliker standards.</li><li>Supervise and manage daily work of department teammates.</li><li>Create and maintain schedules and job assignments of department teammates.</li><li>Maintain all departmental paperwork.</li><li>Provide training as needed to maintain an efficient and knowledgeable workforce.</li><li>Provide coaching/corrective action, training and development for teammates.</li><li>Enforce all Distribution Center policies and issue coaching/corrective action as needed.</li><li>Ensure adherence to proper operational and safety procedures.</li><li>Be a visible and a vocal advocate for safety.</li><li>Relieve other supervisor(s) during their vacations.</li><li>Comply with company work and safety rules.</li><li>Be trained and certified to operate any required equipment within 30 days after hire.</li><li>Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the changing needs of the Distribution Center; work schedules may require working an early shift, staying long for a late shift, and weekend work depending on the customer and operational requirements of the division.</li><li>Work in warm and cold temperature conditions that may range from 38°F to 110°F; a supervisor assigned to the freezer must be able to periodically work in temperatures as cold as -10°F.</li><li>Periodically stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head as needed.</li><li>Other duties may be assigned. </li></ul> Qualifications you'll bring as a Distribution Supervisor: <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.</li><li>A bachelor's degree is preferred.</li><li>Have 2 years distribution warehouse experience, preferably in the grocery industry.</li><li>Have experience leading large numbers of warehouse staff with experience in hiring, training, motivating and resolving employee relation's issues.</li><li>Have computer knowledge to include experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to lead by example.</li><li>Possess good written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Be willing to listen and respond to teammates.</li><li>Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and teammates.</li><li>Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. </li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville, is accepting applications for a part-time Floor Covering and Installation Adjunct Instructor. This position is responsible for the administration and instruction efforts of the floor covering installation course.
Job Duties: The part-time Floor Covering Installation Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for the following duties:
<ul>

Instruction Delivery and Material Preparation: Teach program-specific content in-person and online using the established curriculum, while preparing and organizing materials needed for course instruction, labs, and testing to facilitate effective learning experiences.</li>
<li>
Learning Environment and Career Preparation: Create a focused and engaging learning environment that encourages student performance and fosters skill development, preparing students for successful careers in the floor-covering industry by providing relevant industry insights and practical applications of course content.</li>
<li>
Effective Communication and Real-World Application: Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to support academic success, relating instruction and course objectives to real-world, industry-specific examples to enhance student understanding.</li>
<li>
Administrative Duties: Submit grades, attendance, reports, and records punctually to maintain accurate academic documentation, while participating in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry standards and teaching practices.</li>
<li>
Industry Engagement and Safety Compliance: Conduct regular industry visits to establish key relationships, stay abreast of manufacturing trends, and ensure adherence to safety and security requirements in training areas, maintaining program certification requirements as appropriate.&nbsp;</li>
<li>
Representation and Other Duties: Attend conferences, annual meetings, and other events on behalf of the technical college as needed and perform other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>

Minimum Qualifications
• A minimum of three (3) years of full-time work experience in floor covering installation or comparable skill sets. • High School diploma or equivalent • Must commit to remaining current in the field 
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in Floor Covering Installation • Teaching experience • Knowledge of Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) policies and procedures 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher • Computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications, email, etc.) are required • Self-motivated, determined, and team-oriented. • Indication of willingness to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and business/industry personnel • Commitment to remaining current with industry practices through professional development activities • Must be able to communicate with students and teach in a hands-on learning environment.
SALARY: In accordance with Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines at a rate of $30.00 per hour.
