The Greystar Intern Program will run from June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025.JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Property Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience of the many job responsibilities of an Accountant at Greystar including managing the full-cycle accounting tasks for a certain number of properties, reviewing financial statements, preparing journal entries, handling bank reconciliations, and performing accounting control procedures.Responsibilities: <ul><li>Learn and understand the line of business, day-to-day responsibilities of the team, and how it functions within the broader real estate business.</li><li>Complete in-house training programs for various applications and operational techniques.</li><li>Assist in monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results and financial reports.</li><li>Support the development of financial outlooks and forecasts.</li><li>Help in preparing financial reports and presentations for internal use.</li><li>Assist in the annual budgeting process by gathering and organizing financial data.</li><li>Collaborate with different teams to provide financial insights and support.</li><li>Support other projects as needed to gain exposure to different aspects of financial planning.</li><li>Build relationships and partner with other Greystar teams to reach goals.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Graduating between December 2025 and May 2026.</li><li>Preferred major: Accounting, Finance, or related degree.</li><li>Curiosity and a desire to learn.</li><li>Quantitative background that demonstrates analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, and capability to articulate complex topics.</li><li>High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.</li></ul>The compensation for this position is $21/hour.This internship offers a flexible remote format with the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity from our Phoenix, AZ office.
