Essential Functions of the Job:<ul><li>Coordinate and direct staff at any museum theater events,&nbsp;programs,&nbsp;and rentals.&nbsp;</li><li>Supervise day-to-day theater operations, ensure proper floor coverage, and manage staff breaks.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Work with Projectionists, Film Programmers, Talent Relations, A/V, Security, and other departments in facilitating program introductions, film screenings, and panel discussions.</li><li>Assist with administrative tasks, including tracking inventory, ordering supplies, preparing run-of-show materials, responding to emails, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Handle theater experience challenges, concerns,&nbsp;comments,&nbsp;and complaints escalated from the floor staff level, including any seating, ticketing, or admissions issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate effectively with all levels of museum management, in-house projection staff, museum technical staff, event managers, and engineers.</li><li>Inform theater staff of new information relating to events, policies, procedures, or visitor issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead daily team huddles to ensure a successful run-of-show for all screenings and events.&nbsp;</li><li>Facilitate AV elements for various events, such as distributing microphones for speaking events and&nbsp;occasionally&nbsp;introducing films.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure team compliance with legal policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor and maintain theater accessibility supplies and equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Attend weekly meetings both in person and virtually.</li><li>Uphold the Academy standard for program excellence.&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Required Competencies: &nbsp;<ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent certificate of completion.</li><li>2+&nbsp;years of venue management experience in a customer-facing role.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of admissions, Mobile POS, and online ticketing systems.</li><li>A proven track record of motivating staff and fostering a positive work environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience communicating effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of showmanship.</li><li>Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt to the ever-changing nature of live events.</li><li>A commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.&nbsp;</li><li>Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays required.&nbsp;</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Knowledge of film, picture aspect ratios, and sound reproduction techniques preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Museum or cultural attraction experience preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul> Required Vaccination: Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable. The actual base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law.
