The position involves oversight and leadership in the areas of personnel and project management, and course design and development to serve the needs of the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) community. The Director is responsible for maintaining the learning design, technology, and media portfolio, ensuring quality and consistency in all offerings, keeping the TLL on the leading edge of relevant developments in the field, and managing and developing a growing number of professional staff within the Teaching and Learning Lab.The Director will act as project manager for complex projects, ensuring completion of projects in a consistent and timely manner. They will be responsible for developing and leading a team of learning designers, technologists and media producers to ensure adequate support for the HGSE teaching and learning community, including the exploration, implementation, and evaluation of emerging learning design models and technology applications.The successful candidate in this role will be an excellent communicator with the ability to both manage and lead a team as well as engender relationships of trust and respect with HGSE faculty members. The Director will represent the team in leadership conversations related to the strategic direction of the learning design portfolio and contribute insight into established and emerging best practices related to the creation of technology-enhanced learning experiences.&nbsp;
