POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Financial Aid provides strategic leadership and oversight of all federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, supports student access and success, and aligns financial aid operations with institutional enrollment and retention goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and implements financial aid policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. Oversees the awarding, disbursement, and reconciliation of Title IV, state, and institutional aid. Supervises and trains financial aid staff, ensuring cross-training and professional development. Monitors and manages the financial aid budget, including forecasting and fund utilization. Ensures compliance with Return of Title IV (R2T4), Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), and verification processes. Leads strategic initiatives to improve financial aid delivery and support enrollment management goals. Coordinates with Admissions, Registrar, and Student Accounts to ensure seamless student support.
Prepares and submits federal and state reports, including FISAP, IPEDS, and TBR extracts; maintains institutional eligibility through the Program Participation Agreement (PPA); develops the annual Cost of Attendance (COA); and serves as the institution’s Primary Destination Point Administrator (DPA) for federal financial aid systems. Collaborates with IT staff, computer programmers, and systems analysts to ensure financial aid systems are accurately configured, integrated, and maintained; communicates functional needs and participates in system testing, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Coordinates with external agencies (e.g., U.S. Department of Education, TSAC, auditors, scholarship providers) and consults with internal stakeholders to support compliance, program development, and institutional alignment. Participates in professional development activities and conferences to stay current with financial aid trends and regulations. Conducts financial aid workshops and counseling sessions for students and families. Performs internal audits and self-assessments to ensure compliance and readiness for external reviews.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 4 years in financial aid administration, with 3 years in a supervisory role

Title: Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program Director
POSITION SUMMARY The Program Director is responsible for coordinating the College’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. The Program Director will lead, supervise, manage and implement all aspects of the program, including classroom and online course development and instruction, curriculum development, marketing, recruitment and advising of students, budgeting, faculty supervision and support and revision/modification of all program components as needed and/or required.
This is a non-faculty, 12-month administrative position, which may include some teaching responsibilities based on operational needs and in accordance with College policy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Direct, manage and implement the overall operation of the EMS program. Recruit, develop, supervise and evaluate program faculty and ensure adequate staffing for program courses. Establish annual institutional goals for the program, including curriculum development, implementation and assessment. Lead all external program accreditation efforts, including self-studies, site visits and reporting. Maintain accreditation with CoAEMSP and CAAHEP. Coordinate with clinical sites for student placement, orientation and communication. Act as liaison between faculty, sponsoring agencies, students, the local medical community and the State’s Division of Emergency Medical Services, including continually evaluating and monitoring program progress and objectives as they relate to the program’s licensing, registering and certifying agencies. Foster industry relationships to promote and market the program and to recruit guest speakers and adjunct faculty. Facilitate advisory committee meetings and maintain proper documentation. Monitor student performance data and ensure completion of the College’s Academic Program Review and the TBR Academic Audit. Plan, conduct and document regular departmental meetings.
Manage online course delivery and ensure all model courses are current. Oversee textbook adoption, publisher coordination and faculty training on instructional materials. Provide academic and career advising. Manage student concerns and coordinate responses. Oversee facilities and equipment use for all EMS courses. Maintain department budget and inventory. Recommend and coordinate equipment purchases. Ensure compliance with all Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) and College policies, guidelines, licensure requirements and other state and federal guidelines. Complete required College trainings. In addition to primary administrator responsibilities, may teach as assigned, and/or as needed, including day, evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses. Teaching includes developing and revising curriculum for credit, non-credit and online classes, maintaining regular office hours and submitting required reports, such as engagement, early alerts, surveys and grades, in accordance with established deadlines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree
Must possess a current EMT-Paramedic, Registered Nurse or Physician license and/or hold all credentials for which students are being prepared in the program
Professional license(s) must be free from history of revocation, denial or suspension
Minimum of three (3) years practicing in the pre-hospital environment or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of EMS educational administration experience
Current endorsement in a Board approved trauma, cardiac and pediatric course at the provider level

POSITION SUMMARY The Director of the Teaching Center provides dynamic leadership to Teaching Fellows and is responsible for planning, promoting, implementing, and assessing professional development experiences for Nashville State faculty. The Director oversees the programming and activity of the Teaching Center and develops, leads, manages, and supports faculty professional learning, programming, and activities of all faculty across all modalities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides vision, leadership and institutional effectiveness planning for the Teaching Center. Leads, plans, coordinates, and implements professional development programs to support full-time and adjunct faculty across their various career stages and teaching modalities. Serves as the High Impact Practices (HIPs) lead to TBR and manages tracking of HIPs across classes. Advises college administration on matters regarding faculty professional development. POSITION SUMMARY This a nine-month faculty position responsible for leading the Paralegal Studies program and delivering quality instruction.
