Job Summary:
The Director is responsible for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program which grants technical certificates. The Director will lead, supervise, manage, and implement all aspects of the program, including classroom and online course development and instruction, curriculum development, marketing, recruitment and advising of students, budgeting, and faculty supervision and support, and revision/modification of all program components as needed. Position includes teaching responsibilities, including clinical practicum and capstone courses. The Program Director holds a 12-month faculty position with release time each term based on the size of the program, as determined by the Dean and VPAA. This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies. Faculty are expected to provide academic advising to students and participate in college, department, and community activities related to the College’s mission. 
Job Duties:
Teach 38-42 TLE per year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned with both teaching and approved release time included in this expectation. Typically, program directors receive 3 TLE release time per term. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Develop curriculum; evaluate and review of credit and non-credit courses; develop online classes as needed. Evaluate and monitor progress to achieve goals and objectives (and those by any licensing, registering, or certifying agency as applicable); assist with affiliation and accreditation efforts. Recruit and advise students and support persistence/progression through graduation. Maintain office hours and availability to students. Complete required College trainings. Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Attend college, division, department, and faculty meetings. Serve on college and department committees. Attend professional development activities. Participate in community service. Ensure compliance with all Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) and College policies, guidelines, licensure requirements, and other state and federal guidelines. In addition to the typical faculty responsibilities above, the Director of Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is expected to: Direct, supervise, manage, and implement the overall operation of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Interview, hire, supervise, and evaluate program faculty and ensure adequate staffing for the program courses. Establish annual program goals including curriculum development, implementation, and assessment. Lead and coordinate all accreditation activities and documentation for the program, including but not limited to staying current with requirements and completing self-studies, site visits, and annual reports. Market the program, recruit and advise students into the program and provide academic and career advisement for prospective and current students. Coordinate an advisory committee to support the program, hold annual or semi-annual meetings, and ensure documentation of all advisory committee activities. Monitor and analyze data pertinent to students’ successful academic performance and ensure completion of VSCC’s Academic Program Review for Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Complete and coordinate program’s TBR Academic Audit. Manage online course delivery by ensuring all model courses are current. Manage textbooks including working with departmental committees during the review process, coordinating with publishers, negotiating purchase packages, and organizing demonstrations and training for electronic resources. Plan, conduct, and document regular departmental meetings. Oversee student complaint resolution by ensuring that student discipline and complaint policy and procedures are followed, meet with students and coordinate with the Dean and/or Student Services personnel in mediating resolution. Develop, promulgate, implement, and monitor policies and procedures related to program equipment and laboratories that are consistent with Vol State and TBR policy. Develop, monitor, and maintain department budgets. Maintain parts and supplies inventory, ordering parts and supplies and keeping related records. Recommend purchase of new equipment and submit appropriate purchase and/or TAF requests following Vol State and department procedures. Network with industry personnel to assist in promotion of the college and its programs and the securing of guest speakers and adjunct faculty. Maintain the program accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation of Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS); supervises and directs required reporting to state and national agencies. Oversee use of facilities and equipment for day, evening, and weekend classes offered by the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Act as liaison between students, sponsoring agencies, local medical community, and state level certifying/licensing agency as needed. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Possess at a minimum the ARDMS credential of RDMS with registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN. Have documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques. Note: Documentation of experience in educational theories and techniques may include completed college courses, seminars, or in-service sessions on topics including, but not limited to, learning theory, curriculum design, test construction, teaching methodology, or assessment techniques. Possess a minimum of two years of experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from an accredited institution. Additional registries in Cardiac Sonography (RDCS). Collegiate level teaching experience. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Title: Assistant Director of Financial Aid, Regulatory Compliance
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for coordinating outreach events, supporting our institutional partners, and helping maintain and monitor the College’s financial aid compliance program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Stay abreast of legislative changes impacting the College and assist the Director in partnering with other institutional departments to respond to pending legislation that impacts the Office of Financial Aid or the College, including identifying regulatory changes and ensuring timely updates of institutional procedures to ensure compliance. Manage a risk-based quality control program that provides continuous monitoring of the College’s financial aid performance to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance procedures. This includes transaction testing, reporting, deficiency tracking and remediation. Maintain an ongoing regulatory training program for institutional partners to ensure regulatory awareness and operational effectiveness.
Maintain the financial aid operational and communication calendar to ensure timely reporting. Coordinate office workflows related to file processing, scanning, year-end and preparation and planning for upcoming fiscal year. Oversee EdAmerica Call Center for quality assurance and serve as the primary contact for referrals and escalations. Additionally handle the submission of training opportunities to EdAmerica. Serve as the key contact for addressing Financial Aid issues in the Welcome Center, ensuring timely resolution. Coordinate the financial aid outreach efforts, by scheduling staff for events and workshops, organizing office-sponsored events, and keeping the financial aid webpage information up-to-date. Identify and recommend process improvements within the financial aid office to increase student success, improve department efficiencies, reduce costs and streamline/simplify financial aid processes for students.
Process the financial aid components of the CPOS (Course in Program of Study) daily reports, and collaborate with Records office to resolve any related concerns. Serve as backup to the co-Assistant Director of Financial Aid, as needed but particularly with professional judgement, dependency overrides, homeless youth determinations, and R2T4s. Monitor, update, and resolve engagement reporting throughout the term and during end-of-term processing. Supervise and train assigned office personnel, technical clerks, temporary employees and student workers. Serve as a member of the SAP and IRP appeal committees. Perform other duties as assigned.

Title: Director of Donor Relations and Programs
POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Donor Relations and Programs develops, implements, manages and assesses a comprehensive donor relations plan to support the strategic growth of foundation and improve internal and external relations for the college. This is accomplished by the Foundation’s annual fundraising plan which includes campaigns, events, donor research and cultivation, and database management. This position will also oversee scholarships and student supports as well as supervision of the Development Associate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the Foundation’s annual fundraising strategy that includes but is not limited to campaigns, events, donor research and cultivation, and database management. Develops, implements and leads a successful and integrated donor relations program that strategically targets all levels of giving as defined by the Foundation team. Ensures donors are acknowledged and recognized to strengthen their financial support for the college. Plans and executes stewardship efforts such as photo opportunities, events, mailings, etc. Works closely with Foundation staff to demonstrate the impact of philanthropy to donors by arranging meaningful and memorable experiences with funding recipients as appropriate. Oversees student resource deployment and other student programs, tracking outcomes and providing donor feedback (grantors and individual donors). Collaborates with other departments to successfully streamline delivering supports to students.
Oversees the management and administration of all foundation scholarships, including donor and recipient communication such as reports to donors, thank you letters, student testimonials, etc. Uses key metrics to achieve higher donor retention rates and donor satisfaction and to assess the current engagement and activity of donors to determine which efforts have the greatest business impact. Prepares reports and presentations of program data for various internal and external audiences. Develops and manages all aspects of the Nashville State Alumni Association and alumni programs, including recruiting and coordinating volunteers, planning events and securing event sponsorships. Oversees and directs the development and implementation of strategic communications in multiple mediums in a timely fashion. This includes, but is not limited to, social media sites, annual reporting, e-blasts, endowment reports, gift acknowledgements, web pages, fundraising campaign materials and press releases.
Manages any fundraising-related and celebratory events. Ensures special events are communicated to executive leadership, board members, officials and invited guests. Creates innovative programs and projects to thank and steward donors, identifying creative and effective mediums to recognize the impact of corporate and individual support. Tracks donor relations and stewardship activities in the established databases to enhance relationships and increase the likelihood of continued contributions. Responsible for the review and control of all gift acknowledgments, including receipts, thank you letters, pledge statements and donor reports. Supervises the Development Associate. Performs other duties as assigned.
