Scientific Director, Drug Metabolism

POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Director is a member of the faculty (rank commensurate with experience). The Medical Director supports the Program Director in ensuring that both didactic instruction and supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs) meet current practice standards related to the physician assistant (PA) role in patient care. The Medical Director is responsible for actively developing the program's mission statement, providing teaching and instruction, evaluating student performance, designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating curriculum, and evaluating the program to ensure adherence to ARC-PA accreditation standards. Title: Assistant Director, Scholarships, Outreach, and Compliance
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for developing and managing outreach events, managing institutional partnerships including scholarship funds, and directing the development, maintenance and monitoring of the College’s financial aid compliance program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate legislative changes for potential impacts to the College and assist the Director in partnering with other institutional departments to respond to pending legislation that impacts the Office of Financial Aid or the College, including identifying regulatory changes and ensuring timely implementation of institutional procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Lead a risk-based quality control program of the College’s financial aid performance to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance procedures. This includes transaction testing, reporting, deficiency tracking and remediation. Direct an ongoing regulatory training program for institutional partners to ensure regulatory awareness and operational effectiveness. Manage the financial aid operational and communication calendar and processes to ensure timely reporting.
Direct office workflows related to file processing, scanning, year-end and preparation and planning for upcoming fiscal year. Oversee Nashville State’s relationship with the EdAmerica Call Center for quality assurance and serve as the primary contact for referrals and escalations. Additionally handle the submission of training opportunities to EdAmerica. Collaborate with the Welcome Center on Financial Aid issues ensuring timely resolution. Lead the financial aid outreach efforts, by scheduling staff for events and workshops, organizing office-sponsored events, and keeping the financial aid webpage information up to date. Identify and implement process improvements within the financial aid office to increase student success, improve department efficiencies, reduce costs and streamline/simplify financial aid processes for students.
Manage the financial aid components of the CPOS (Course in Program of Study) including daily reports, and collaboration with Records office to resolve any complications. Serve as backup to the co-Assistant Director of Financial Aid, as needed but particularly with professional judgement, dependency overrides, homeless youth determinations, and R2T4s. Direct resolution of engagement reporting throughout the term and during end-of-term processing. Evaluate and determine appropriate resolution for any over awards, coordinate with other employees within the office to resolve. Coordinate with the Student Account &amp; Billing Office on the state aid fund account numbers needed for application of state aid on the Finance side. Coordinate with Records and Student Account &amp; Billing Offices on the resolution of duplicate student records in Banner. Supervise and train assigned office personnel, specifically the coordinators (5). Serve as a member of the SAP and IRP appeal committees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in a financial aid office or at least one (1) year of experience in a financial aid office with sufficient NASFAA Professional Credentials to demonstrate required knowledge.

Job Summary
The Program Director holds a 12-Month faculty position that reports to the Dean of Healthcare Professions. The Director of the Sonography Program is responsible for the Certificate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and the Certificate of Cardiovascular Sonography Programs at Jackson State Community College. All tasks adhere to CAAHEP and JRCDMS standards, as well as regional healthcare expectations. In addition to classroom/laboratory instruction, the Director will be responsible for the organization, administration, periodic review, planning, development and general effectiveness of the program; will provide input into the program budget; and supervise other faculty within the program.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Developing, implementing, evaluating and revising the Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Sonography programs’ master plan of education to achieve and maintain full program accreditation.</li>
<li>Didactic teaching in the classroom and laboratory.</li>
<li>Coordinating the development, implementation, and revision process for the program’s curriculum design; including but not limited to, course descriptions, course requirements, and evaluation systems.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Coordinating and directing the procedures required to secure and maintain program accreditation.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Developing program evaluation to ensure ongoing effectiveness through outcomes assessment of quality indicators.</li>
<li>Preparing and maintaining the program budget within established parameters as needed for the program.</li>
<li>Overseeing the evaluation, maintenance, selection, and purchase of educational materials and equipment to meet the needs of the program.</li>
<li>Collaborating with the Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Sonography programs’ faculty to meet the needs of students and program assessment.</li>
<li>Interviewing, selecting, mentoring and evaluating instructional staff and adjunct faculty who teach courses within the program under general supervision.</li>
<li>Evaluating student performance within the classroom, laboratory and clinical environments.</li>
<li>Advise applicants and program students on academic and career goals to assist them in developing plans for program entry, retention, graduation, and/or job placement.</li>
<li>Counseling and advising prospective and current students.</li>
<li>Promote, support, and participate in student retention, and other program student outcome efforts.</li>
<li>Serving as a liaison between the program and clinical affiliates/community stakeholders.</li>
<li>Assisting in reviewing clinical affiliation agreements as needed.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preparing annual reports for the Dean, college representatives and other agencies as needed.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Pursuing ongoing education in the discipline, instructional delivery and management maintain professional competency.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collaborating with faculty to create a positive learning environment.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Coordinating Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Sonography programs’ Program Advisory Board meetings.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of Baccalaureate degree and an ACS credential; or possess a minimum of a Master’s degree and a sonography credential in the discipline of cardiovascular or general sonography • Must minimally possess the appropriate credentials specific to the concentrations offered; (e.g., Adult Echocardiography and Vascular Technology), in addition to at least one other required credential in general sonography (Abdomen &amp; Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology) • Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques. • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated full-time clinical experience as a registered sonographer

Master’s degree in a related field, from a regionally accredited institution
