Supervises the management of the physical facilities and equipment at the Springfield Center and coordinates with Plant Operations as needed to ensure the proper maintenance and appearance of the facilities. Maintains a working knowledge of internal and external policies, guidelines, and procedures specific to the operation of a Center. Assists in the formulation of reports, analyses, studies, objectives, and strategies on enrollment, major trends, patterns, projections, etc. related to the region. Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree. Four years supervisory experience in a higher education setting in the area of administration, teaching or related field.

Title: Assistant Director, Scholarships, Outreach, and Compliance
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for developing and managing outreach events, managing institutional partnerships including scholarship funds, and directing the development, maintenance and monitoring of the College’s financial aid compliance program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate legislative changes for potential impacts to the College and assist the Director in partnering with other institutional departments to respond to pending legislation that impacts the Office of Financial Aid or the College, including identifying regulatory changes and ensuring timely implementation of institutional procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Lead a risk-based quality control program of the College’s financial aid performance to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance procedures. This includes transaction testing, reporting, deficiency tracking and remediation. Manage the financial aid operational and communication calendar and processes to ensure timely reporting.

Oversee Nashville State’s relationship with the EdAmerica Call Center for quality assurance and serve as the primary contact for referrals and escalations. Additionally handle the submission of training opportunities to EdAmerica. Collaborate with the Welcome Center on Financial Aid issues ensuring timely resolution. Lead the financial aid outreach efforts, by scheduling staff for events and workshops, organizing office-sponsored events, and keeping the financial aid webpage information up to date. Identify and implement process improvements within the financial aid office to increase student success, improve department efficiencies, reduce costs and streamline/simplify financial aid processes for students.
Manage the financial aid components of the CPOS (Course in Program of Study) including daily reports, and collaboration with Records office to resolve any complications. Serve as backup to the co-Assistant Director of Financial Aid, as needed but particularly with professional judgement, dependency overrides, homeless youth determinations, and R2T4s. Direct resolution of engagement reporting throughout the term and during end-of-term processing. Evaluate and determine appropriate resolution for any over awards, coordinate with other employees within the office to resolve. Coordinate with the Student Account &amp; Billing Office on the state aid fund account numbers needed for application of state aid on the Finance side. Professional accounting experience may be substituted for the professional auditing experience on a year for year basis up to two years. Demonstrated professional experience in managing projects. Documented experience working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:&nbsp; 
Master’s degree earned from a regionally accredited institution in accounting or related business field, active CPA or CIA certification, and at least five years of professional auditing experience including experience working in higher education, and auditing large computerized accounting and information systems such as Banner (Ellucian). Documented professional supervisory experience.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Direct a comprehensive program of internal audit for the purpose of determining the adequacy of the institution’s systems of internal control for continuous improvement, risk management and fraud awareness; efficiency and effectiveness of financial, administrative and academic management; and verification of compliance with policies and procedures of the College and Tennessee Board of Regents, state and federal laws and regulations,</li>
<li>Analyze systems, processes, procedures and transactions for efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness of internal controls utilizing auditing and accounting standards, TBR policies and guidelines, institutional policies, federal and state laws and regulations, and contractual requirements.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Conducts special investigations as requested and makes recommendations for improved controls, operating procedures, accounting records, and systems design.</li>
<li>Collaborates with executive-level officers of the College on matters such as policies and procedures; provide assistance as requested for improving the overall operations of the college.</li>
<li>Prepare working papers and reports, including year-end status report, to document work performed and conclusions; discuss findings, observations, and recommendations with appropriate personnel; document management’s plan of action to resolve any deficiencies.</li>
<li>Prepare annual audit plan as per discussions with the College President; Assist the President in ensuring that operations are fiscally well-controlled, efficient, and effective; Coordinate special assignments from the President and develop suggestions for enhancement.</li>
<li>Consult with executive leadership and management on the Enterprise Risk Assessment process as required by the State to better protect the assets of the College; Assess internal controls and make recommendations to improve internal controls.</li>
<li>Plan and oversee departmental budget based on goals and objectives congruent with strategic plan and college (s) initiatives</li>
<li>Comply with the Institute of Internal Auditors and other authoritative bodies Code of Ethics</li>
<li>Establish and maintain a quality assurance and improvement program to ensure compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.</li>

</ul>
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge and understanding of GAAP standards as set by the GASB, state statutes, TBR policies and other related accounting and auditing standards</li>
<li>Ability to make consistent and equitable complex judgements, recommendations, and decisions related to sensitive or confidential issues based on available data and factual information.</li>
<li>Collaborate and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with College and TBR officials, fellow employees, and other stakeholder’s on matters pertinent to the college.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, outside governmental and community agencies, and the general public</li>
<li>Strong computer skills, including but not limited to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system(s) (Banner), word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, database, and internet</li>
<li>Ability to conduct effective presentations to diverse stakeholders including groups of executives, staff or other stakeholders</li>
