Job Summary
Gateway is currently seeking an adjunct instructor to teach PSY110, General Psychology, for the Spring 2026 semester. The class will meet on Fridays from 10:00-11:45 at the Boone Campus in Florence, KY, and it is a hybrid course. 
This is a 12-week course that runs from 2/9/26 – 5/10/26.




Job Duties:
<ul>
<li>Provide instruction and familiarize students within the specific areas of study. </li>
<li>Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice in their respective field(s). </li>
<li>Maintenance and care of classrooms, labs &amp; training materials will also be expected. </li>
<li>Keep abreast of changes in their field and help keep the programs updated. </li>
<li>Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an in-depth understanding of the principles in their discipline or field. </li>
<li>Preference may be given to candidates credentialed to teach at various levels to help support their programs, especially PSY223 Lifespan Psychology</li>

Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution that directly relate to the course objectives being taught. 
</li>
<li>Passion to provide the highest quality educational environment for all our students. 
</li>
<li>High attention to detail; independent; self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. </li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners, representing himself/herself professionally and courteously. </li>
<li>Ability to communicate clearly verbally and, in writing. Ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy. </li>
<li>Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word).&nbsp;</li>
</ul>




Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred. </li>
<li>Experience working at the community college level is preferred.</li>
</ul>
