Responsibilities for the Analytical Research Director include research development and implementation, particularly focused on plant analyses. This includes tobacco constituent measurement in both raw tobacco and smoke, as well as the analysis of other plants of interest (e.g. industrial hemp and forages). The scientist is expected to design research, manage personnel, manage budget and present results. The position will have responsibilities in the proficiency testing program for protocol development.
