POSITION SUMMARY 
The Health Science Program Director serves as the academic and administrative leader for the Health Sciences Program within the Nursing &amp; Allied Health Division, providing strategic vision, operational management, and instructional leadership.&nbsp; This role is responsible for ensuring the program’s academic quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.
In addition to administrative duties, the Program Director serves as the primary instructor for all core didactic courses, modeling excellence in teaching, student engagement, and assessment.&nbsp; The ideal candidate will bring a proven record of leadership in health sciences education, a commitment to student-centered learning, and the ability to work collaboratively with other Program Directors.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 
Required:
• Master’s degree in Health Science, Health Education of closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution
• Minimum of three (3) years full-time teaching experience in a health science program or equivalent clinical experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to student success and continuous quality improvement
Preferred:
• Experience with program accreditation processes (e.g., CoARC, CAAHEP, ACEN)

Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to assist in setting up and maintaining Health Science labs, primarily Surgical Technology, Radiologic Technology, and Nursing as needed site campuses with the required supplies, materials, and equipment for the faculty. This includes repackaging supplies, assisting to set up the Operating Room, coordinating equipment with the coordinators and in hospital lab spaces, and cleaning equipment. This position is also responsible for handling and coordinating delicate and expensive equipment at the site campuses and affiliated hospitals.
Essential Functions: 
40% Set up Surgical Technician and Radiologic Technician laboratories with required supplies, materials, and equipment: repackage supplies, provide working equipment for students to use, ensure that supplies are readily available, and clean equipment after labs.&nbsp; Assist Nursing with any of these needs as well.
25% Communicate laboratory and general supplies for Health Science Courses (Surgical Technician, Radiologic Technician, and Nursing).&nbsp;
15% Inventory supplies, check equipment, and perform minor repairs or adjustments on equipment, under the direction of the Health Science Lab Coordinator.&nbsp; Be able to travel to all campuses and affiliate hospitals that assist with labs.
10% Clean up of labs after completion of lab exercises, maintaining a clean lab environment in the Health Science lab spaces. Ensure that equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and according to safety standards.
5% Coordinate with the Health Science Lab Coordinator on simulation needs and assistance.&nbsp; Collaborate with faculty and staff in all Health Science programs for combined simulation experiences.
5% Participate in lab meetings within each program and across the Health Science Department as needed/assigned.&nbsp;

The Instructor is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. The adjunct instructor is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in professional activities and organizations.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Political Science.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assign by Department Head/Dean.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or master’s degree in another discipline with 18 hours of graduate work in the teaching discipline.</li>
<li>Minimum two (2) years teaching experience in higher education or one (1) year teaching experience and three (3) years employment in the field.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies to facilitate student-centered learning; experience interacting successfully with an ever-growing student population.</li>
<li>Skill in selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.</li>
<li>Ability to integrate technology into course delivery.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.</li>
<li>Willingness and flexibility to teach classes using various instructional delivery methods at any of the six locations.</li>

Position Summary: To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.

Job Summary
Instructors provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, or Physics labs at Jackson State Community College (JSCC). JSCC offers classes at four locations with the main campus located in Jackson, TN. Additional centers include the Lexington-Henderson County Center in Lexington, TN, the Savannah-Hardin County Center in Savannah, TN, and the Gibson County Center in Trenton, TN. Adjunct faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and are expected to provide effective instruction in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus in all modalities of course offerings.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Teach courses on ground at any of the four JSCC locations. In addition, courses may be administered online, hybrid, or FLEX as assigned.</li>
<li>Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required.</li>
<li>Utilize the college’s learning management system (LMS) to provide course materials to students.</li>
<li>Update course syllabi to include name and contact information at least 1 week prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract.</li>
<li>Stay abreast of current developments in the teaching discipline.</li>
<li>Attend JSCC’s adjunct orientation.</li>
<li>Collaborate collegially with full-time faculty in preparation and coordination of laboratory exercises and examinations in all modalities of instruction.</li>
<li>Ability to efficiently operate, maintain, and clean standard laboratory supplies including glassware, centrifuges, pH meters, dissection instruments, and microscopes.</li>
<li>Regularly check both your JSCC and eLearn emails and respond to emails/messages within 48 hours.</li>
<li>Submit final lab grades to the instructor of record, Department Chair, or Dean at least 48 hours prior to the final grade deadline.</li>
<li>Complete all required College trainings and reports including, but not limited, to attendance reporting, Early Alerts, cybersecurity training, Title IX training, etc.</li>
<li>Advise the Department Chair, Dean, and Division Secretary as soon as possible in the event you would need to be absent from class.</li>
<li>Comply with all JSCC and TBR policies and guidelines.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related Science field.
Preferred Qualifications
