In this position, the successful candidate will perform electrical and electronics testing on Lindsay products, both in the laboratory as well as in the field (outdoor/farm).Position DetailsThis is a full-time, Lindsay, Nebraska-based position. 40 hrs./week and covers all hourly employee benefits. Expected travel required: 10-20% to various test sites, locally and nationally.Duties &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>The Senior Test Technician will be responsible for leading the test program development for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechatronics product groups</li><li>They will lead and/or execute test programs and analyze test results. They will communicate those results and make design recommendations to appropriate internal or external customers, including design, electrical, and test engineering teams, as well as management personnel.</li><li>Design and set up controls for automated testing; set up Data loggers and utilize high-accuracy data acquisition techniques to collect data (DEWESOFT or similar) and data analysis</li><li>Perform field and lab testing on Lindsay products (both structural and electrical) and resolve issues with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and commitment to timelines.</li><li>Use and maintain test equipment, record and analyze results, and present to product and engineering teams.</li><li>Assist technical teams with recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks, or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing.</li><li>Assist engineering teams with defining test requirements, preparing samples, and developing test fixtures.</li><li>Perform Root Cause Analysis, implement corrective and preventative actions to ensure continual improvement and risk mitigation.</li><li>Work efficiently with various stakeholders and teams to support the needs and growth of Lindsay</li><li>Follow the safety protocols, ISO process, and write detailed test and finding reports</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>2-year degree with 5+ yrs of design or test experience of Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Ag related products, or 4-year degree in Mechanized Systems Management, Ag, Electrical engineering, or electromechanical engineering, or technology with 2+ yrs of relevant experience.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficient in MS Office</li><li>Previous knowledge and experience of working on Irrigation pivots is highly preferred</li><li>Knowledge of electrical systems and willingness to learn the National Electrical Code.</li><li>Ability to communicate technical problems and solutions to train and outline problems.</li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. up a ladder.</li><li>Valid driver's license and willing to travel with company-supplied vehicle.</li></ul>#LICC1 Nearest Major Market: Lincoln Job Segment: R&amp;D Engineer, R&amp;D, Maintenance, Transportation, Engineering, Research, Manufacturing
