Job Purpose:&nbsp;Develop and teach courses in the nursing discipline in classroom/laboratory/clinical settings.
Essential Job Functions:

<li>Develop and teach courses in the nursing discipline in classroom/laboratory/clinical settings with particular emphasis on fundamentals and medical/surgical nursing. Instruction in other specialty areas may be required. May teach large or small groups.</li>
<li>Prepare course syllabi, course materials, and examinations. Collaborative teaching with a team of peers.</li>
<li>Participate in student curriculum development, recruiting, student advising, departmental and divisional meetings, and college boards and committees as well as accreditation activities.</li>
<li>Evaluate student learning and maintain class records.</li>
<li>Advise nursing and health program majors.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain partnerships with clinical agencies to facilitate student clinical learning experiences.</li>
<li>Establish and complete goals and objectives for the individual and department.</li>

<li>Provide instruction in technology enhanced class settings including interactive streaming and online distance technology as well as instruction with simulation clinical equipment.</li>

Required Qualifications:

<li>Minimum of a Master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution.

<li>Minimum of three years recent clinical experience.

SUMMARYThe Acute Registered Nurse provides acute dialysis care and treatment to patients within a hospital environment. This position performs duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Acute Manager, including assisting and supervising Patient Care Technicians and Licensed Vocational Nurses. Acute nurses may report directly to an Acute Manager, Administrator or the first line of regional operational management which may be an Area Director, Regional Director, or Vice President of Operations, depending on the region/demographics.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
