We are thrilled to invite applications for the position of Associate Instructor of Practical Nursing at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville. Located at our main campus in Knoxville, with assignments at off-site locations including clinicals, this role offers you the chance to impact the lives of aspiring nursing professionals. Practical Nursing is entry-level nursing. Graduates are prepared with the background and skills to give knowledgeable, basic nursing care to patients with varying degrees of physical needs. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) work under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors. Positions are available in hospitals, long-term care facilities, physicians' offices, home health agencies, and various other healthcare settings.
Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications
ASN and current licensure are in good standing as a registered nurse in the State of Tennessee. Three (3) years of clinical practice as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications
BSN; Prior post-secondary nursing curriculum teaching experience.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

Environment: Work is performed in a classroom and shop setting with frequent interruptions and distractions. The majority of work performed (30 hours per week) will be instructing and training students, with the remaining 7.5 hours utilized for grading, recording attendance, and individual student meetings.&nbsp;</li>

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a classroom and clinical health care setting.</li>

SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience according to Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines within the ranges of $55,983 - $67,181.
