POSITION SUMMARY: The Nursing Clinical Adjunct is responsible for the general effectiveness of the clinical experiences.He/she has primary responsibility for preparing and teaching clinical and/or laboratory nursing courses. The Nursing Clinical Adjunct works with the Lead Clinical Faculty, the Clinical Coordinator, and the Program Director. This position is campus-based.&nbsp;KEY JOB ELEMENTS:<ul><li>The Nursing Clinical Adjunct is an adjunct clinical faculty member who:</li><li>Supervises students in clinical practice, internships, observations, field experiences, nursing labs, and other similar course and graduation requirements </li><li>Counsels or refers students with identified clinical performance problems.</li><li>Maintains the highest moral and ethical standards as an educator, as a nursing professional, and as a responsible member of the community.</li><li>Debriefs and evaluates students in clinical practice, observations, and field experiences.</li><li>Teaches the number of hours and courses stated in the employment contract for the stated time periods.</li><li>Meets all clinicals and other scheduled responsibilities such as office hours and meetings at the designated time.</li><li>Articulates course learning outcomes or objectives to ensure student understanding of course learning objectives and expectations.</li><li>Assists the Lead Clinical Faculty with the creation of the course/clinical syllabus </li><li>Creates course materials required to deliver course information in an understandable and interesting manner to ensure students are engaged with the course material to facilitate achievement of the course learning outcomes. </li><li>Adheres to identified office hours and be available to assist students to understand course content and/or clinical scenarios to facilitate the comprehension of materials through one-to-one meeting or in assists students to master course material by being available through “office hours” and or small group sessions</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree in nursing preferred</li><li>Two years’ experience in the clinical specialty area</li><li>Med Surg experience preferred</li><li>3-5 years of bedside experience</li><li>Membership in a professional association related to area of instruction preferred. </li><li>Current knowledge in area of clinical practice.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.</li><li>Outstanding conflict resolution skills. </li><li>Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills</li><li>Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills) </li><li>Demonstrated clinical competency and professional standards of practice. </li></ul>ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Adjunct Faculty, Nursing Clinical Instructor 

The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing nursing services each shift and functions as a nursing supervisor. This position provides daily supervision of staff on duty during operational hours.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.<ul><li> Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.</li><li> Demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours.</li><li> Complete and document monthly review of patient medication profiles. Administer medications as ordered by the physician.</li><li> Assist physician during patient rounds and transcribe and implement physician orders timely.</li><li> Assist with the implementation of anemia management and medication protocols as requested.</li><li> Knowledge of and comply with federal, state, local laws and regulations, including health care professionals practice act requirements.</li><li> Perform duties at all times within limitations established by and in accordance with company policy and procedures, applicable state and federal laws and regulations.</li><li> May give direct patient care to the extent of performing efficient, safe dialysis, if allowed by state regulations.</li><li> Responds to all emergencies in clinic.</li><li> Communicate results of patient assessment, reassessment, and ongoing monitoring to the physician, team members, and others as appropriate to the individual needs of the patient.</li><li> Maintain collaborative working relationship with Medical Director and physicians.</li><li> Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary team in all required patient assessment and care planning activities.</li><li> Assist in orientation of new staff as a preceptor or in assigning a preceptor.</li><li> Acts as resource person and participates in implementing and evaluating dialysis services and assures that policies and procedures are updated.</li><li>Assists Administrator in interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and disciplinary actions of center staff</li></ul>
