SUMMARY:&nbsp;Provides leadership in managing and implementing the clinical component of a comprehensive registered nurse program in support of University, campus, and/or departmental goals in order to assure compliance with programmatic accreditation and/or licensure, internal consistency, and to support the achievement of graduate outcomes that meet workplace and placement expectations.&nbsp;Responsible for integrating and harmonizing clinical and simulation with didactic experiences in support of helping students achieve exceptional outcomes, not the least of which is NCLEX success.&nbsp; &nbsp;Responsible for oversight of clinical faculty, student placements, and clinical partnerships for the Nursing program.&nbsp; Oversees, supervises and manages the Manager of Clinical Operations, Manager of Clinical Faculty, Manager of Clinical Relations, and the Simulation Manager while serving as a mentor and facilitator for faculty and students assigned to clinical sites. Supports the campus clinical team by conducting clinical site visits to enable an environment, which fosters creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility.&nbsp; Ensures that the clinical experience is aligned with associated didactic content and achieves the course learning outcomes.&nbsp; Collaborates with peers serving in the same capacity at other campuses to ensure consistency of approach between all locations.&nbsp; &nbsp;ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;<ul><li>Responsible for the campus clinical component of the BSN program.</li><li>Collects evaluation feedback from students, staff and clinical sites.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that clinical partner satisfaction ratings are maintained or improved over time.</li><li>Ensure student clinical experience satisfaction ratings maintained or improved over time.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive clinical faculty observations and provide appropriate feedback or intervention in accordance with approved schedule.</li><li>Oversight of all student and faculty clinical schedule/assignments processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversight of the MCO process for students’ clinical orientation to include clinical packets; health and safety requirements.</li><li>Oversight of accurate/timely student clinical grids submission to clinical partners.</li><li>Responsible for the oversight of student clinical placements with identified facilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversight of process for Manager of Clinical Operations attestation forms for student placements.</li><li>Develops a process with the Manager Clinical Operations to ensure clinical placement requests are completed in an accurate and timely manner, either online or manually and confirmed.</li></ul>EDUCATION:<ul><li>Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in education, business, or administration required.</li><li>Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing or nursing administration preferred.</li></ul>LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Current Registered Nurse License required in state of employment.</li><li>Approval by the Board of Registered Nursing to assume the role of Nursing Instructor preferred. Remediation available to obtain approval.</li><li>Current CPR Certification</li><li>Current Driver's License</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Typically requires advanced practical knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of a single professional discipline or a broad understanding of multiple related disciplines.</li><li>Experience leading a team, project, program, or function is typically required.</li><li>Traditionally requires a minimum of 5 years of related work and educational experience.</li><li>Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills in a higher education setting overseeing clinical relationships.</li><li>Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) or other nursing accrediting agencies, e.g., CCNA, CCNE,ACEN, and other accreditation standards.&nbsp;</li></ul>#HEJ&nbsp;#LI-DL1Do you want a career that allows you to make a difference in other people’s lives?
