This position will primarily be located in Frankfort Kentucky. This position will participate in night and weekend on-call coverage as assigned by the clinical division chief, and providing individual teaching to pediatric residents and other health care professionals participating in the care of patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In addition, this position will attend regional, national, and/or international scientific meetings and serve on Children’s Hospital and College of Medicine committees as needed. The Kentucky Children’s Hospital has Eastern and Central Kentucky’s only Level I pediatric trauma center, Level IV newborn (neonatal) intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. The NICU is a 66-bed unit providing Level IV and intermediate care for the newborn. It provides a neonatal transport team that utilizes the Kentucky Children’s Hospital ambulance, a mobile neonatal unit, and serves as a regional neonatal transport center serving Eastern and Central Kentucky. Our NICU is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology to give every at-risk newborn the best possible care. Patient care strategies within the NICU include infant therapy and high frequency ventilation for preemies with breathing disorders. This position is accountable for providing quality care to all patients and is committed to delivering superior customer service in all internal and external interactions.&nbsp;&nbsp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.&nbsp;
