Primary patient conditions consist of heart and lung transplantation, post open heart/cardiovascular surgery and general cardiology. As a team member of this unit, the RN serves as an important component of the progressive care team. This team is responsible for providing continuous monitoring and quick response to both chronic and emergent medical problems.
