The Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs) serve as the premier suppliers of workforce development throughout the State of Tennessee.&nbsp; We are currently seeking an Adjunct (part-time) Instructor for our General Nursing program at our extension campus in Winchester, TN. This is an evening class that meets four nights per week, Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm (until clinical practice begins). Clinical hours are from 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm Mondays &amp; Wednesdays beginning in June.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Follow course curriculum and lesson plans and deliver instruction accordingly.</li>
<li>Teach courses on campus or at clinical sites as assigned.</li>
<li>Utilize in-class assessment tools/techniques to measure student achievement of course competencies.</li>
<li>Utilize Banner to record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily.</li>
<li>Distribute student syllabus at the beginning of the course to define course competencies, performance criteria, established approved grading procedures and standards, attendance and class policies/procedures, and other necessary information to students.</li>
<li>Teach worker ethics curriculum, interpersonal skills, post-secondary workforce skills, and soft skills within the standard industry framework.</li>
<li>Maintain an organized, safe, and stable learning environment that is conducive to all (COE) accreditation requirements.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to student success by providing guidance and advice to students regarding course progress, and academic and disciplinary issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate all disciplinary issues with Coordinator of Practical Nursing.</li>
</ul>
SPECIFIC DUTIES
<ul>
<li>Adhere to the school calendar and daily class schedule.</li>
<li>Start and end class at designated time.</li>
<li>Check and respond to emails twice daily (minimum).</li>
<li>Coordinate necessary absences with Coordinator of Practical Nursing and to coincide with student breaks.</li>

JOB STANDARDS:
A. All full-time and part-time faculty must have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours in their teaching field and hold a master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college/university.
B. Endorsed with appropriate credentials of an unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Tennessee, American Heart Association CPR certification for healthcare professionals, advanced preparation and experience in a nursing practice specialty area.
C. The successful candidate must provide evidence of an active, unencumbered Tennessee nursing license during the hiring process.&nbsp;Candidates with a multistate license who have changed or may be changing their primary state of residence to Tennessee must apply for a multistate license in Tennessee within 60 days of relocation. Proof of current licensure or application must be provided within 15 days of hire for continued employment.&nbsp;&nbsp;
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE/EXPERIENCE:
A.&nbsp;One-year teaching experience in a pre-licensure program&nbsp;required.
