Job Duties:
Teach 38-42 hours per year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned. Provide instruction in theory and clinical practice in one or more of the following nursing areas: Medical-Surgical, Women's Health-Mother/Infant, Mental Health/Psychiatric, Gerontology/Geriatrics or other nursing practice specialty. Instruction may include: Personal hygiene, client abuse, human sexuality, cultural diversity, ethnicity, nutrition (nursing, therapeutic aspects), pharmacology, legal, social and ethical aspects of nursing, nursing leadership and management. Participate in division activities associated with the instructional program. Communicate clearly with students and colleagues. Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college and at least 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline OR a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college and actively enrolled in a Master of Science in Nursing program. Must be endorsed with appropriate credentials of and unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Tennessee, CPR certification for healthcare professionals, advanced preparation and experience in a nursing practice specialty. Minimum of three years related work experience as an RN. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate level teaching experience. One year teaching experience in a pre-licensure program. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
