ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary: The primary function of this position is to plan, oversee and coordinate day-to-day maintenance execution of the facility, equipment and machinery at Howmet Barberton.&nbsp;Under the supervision of the Maintenance Reliability Manager, this position is accountable for:<ul><li>Setting expectations to ensure that EHS objectives, activities, and plans are achieved.&nbsp; Leading and participating in the development of a safety driven culture and incident free workplace.</li><li>Managing and setting expectations for the Barberton Maintenance team.</li><li>Ensuring that preventative and responsive maintenance resources and programs are in place to support a 24x 5 (7) manufacturing operation that covers an asset base of 300+ million and 33 acres of manufacturing and office space.</li><li>Promoting and leading the development and application of predictive maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Total Productive Maintenance, and control/capability of critical processes.</li><li>Participating in the identification, recruitment, training, appraising, and professional development of maintenance resources.</li></ul>&nbsp;Essential Duties:<ul><li>Diagnoses and assists in solving difficult maintenance problems and recurring malfunctions.</li><li>Support operating results through the management of subordinates with emphasis on quantity, quality, timeliness, safety, recovery, and delivery performance.</li><li>Ensure work is allocated fairly and clearly assigned to crew members; formulate and assign tasks within guidelines established by department management.</li><li>Decide and deploy appropriate crewing arrangements for planned and unplanned situations based on absences, schedule requirements, equipment availability, and vacations within labor agreement guidelines.</li><li>Identify opportunities for problem-solving teams targeting waste elimination.</li><li>Determines maintenance and inspection methods and directs maintenance workers in operating procedures.</li><li>Requisitions materials, supplies, and parts for department.</li><li>This position must frequently seek cooperation from, persuade or influence others, and must develop relationships and persuade others to resolve problems, change people's minds, or directly produce customer satisfaction.
