In this job, you’ll be analyzing Overhead and Underground distribution work orders and applying the appropriate unit price task codes leading to the timely creation of pre-requisitions and purchase orders. This includes building strong relationships and collaborating with distribution line construction vendors. You will be responsible for the compliant performance at CPS and CSSA material yards, per SCE Yard Management policies and procedures. This will include monthly inspections and reporting to the Authorized Edison representative. In addition, per Regional Construction Manager request, special projects will be assigned utilizing Microsoft Office products and other SCE platforms. As a&nbsp;Material Operations Senior Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?<h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Prepares reports related to material performance, levels, inventory analysis, supply and demand in preparation for internal supply chain, business unit and vendor review meetings</li><li>Provides input to inventory and material handling process improvements</li><li>Conducts internal material inventory check of warehouses for emergent and regular projects</li><li>Ensures proper maintenance of equipment to facilitate the delivery and removal of materials efficiently</li><li>Collaborates effectively and closely with key stakeholders and vendors to successfully meet shifting needs</li><li>Schedules and coordinates material shipments with carriers and other external partners for arranging shipments</li><li>Evaluates costs and supply chain impacts to provide data-driven recommendations</li><li>A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Five or more years of experience supporting inventory management, logistics and/or supply chain management. </li><li>Posses a valid Class C Driver's License.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Two years of experience as a Qualified Electrical Worker with line construction experience.</li><li>Five years of experience with SCE’s overhead and underground work order maps.&nbsp;</li><li>Three years of experience in SAP, CLICK Schedule, or Supplier Portal.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>This position’s work mode is&nbsp;hybrid.&nbsp;The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and&nbsp;reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.&nbsp;The work mode can be changed based on business needs.</li><li>Visit our&nbsp;Candidate Resource&nbsp;page to get meaningful information related to benefits, perks, resources, testing information, hiring process, and more!</li><li>Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.</li></ul><ul><li>Position will require up to 50% traveling and being out in the field throughout the Rural Region.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Relocation does not apply to this position.</li></ul>About Southern California EdisonThe people at SCE don't just keep the lights on.
