Your attention to detail make you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time, and deliver top-notch work to delight our customers.<h2>What are the daily job responsibilities?</h2><ul><li>Performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Communicating with Estimators and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts.</li><li>Assessing vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.</li><li>Performing all body repairs according to estimate.</li><li>Performing welding, soldering, body alignment, and frame/unibody repairs.</li><li>Operating all equipment in the Collision Center in a safe and productive manner, following AutoNation’s Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) while working on the production floor.</li><li>Inspecting all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed.</li><li>Mixing all chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications.</li><li>Understanding and following federal, state, and local regulations that affect Collision Center operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA guidelines, etc.</li><li>Gaining superior product knowledge to provide high quality repairs.</li><li>What are the requirements for the Collision Body Technician?</li><li>ICAR certification (preferred) or interest to become certified.</li><li>OEM certification (preferred) or interest to become certified.</li><li>At least two years’ automotive experience.</li><li>Must have a valid, in-state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record.</li><li>Ability to operate an automobile.</li></ul><h2>What are the opportunities for career growth?</h2><ul><li>Our Associates have many choices for career growth and development after success in a Collision Body Technician role. Job Summary
This is a part-time, Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Technologies. THIS POSTING IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF AN OPEN POSITION. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring and summer. The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The Instructor is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. The adjunct instructor is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in professional activities and organizations.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers instruction on topics of the Professional Pilot Technology program.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assign by Department Head/Dean.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college/university</li>
<li>Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot's certifications and endorsements to meet departmental requirements under Part 141 to include:
<ul>
<li>FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate</li>
<li>Certified Flight Instructor</li>
<li>Certified Flight Instructor (Instrument)</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
Or
<ul>
<li>Must have at least three years of Flight Dispatcher experience in any operations conducted under Part 121 or similar or 5 years of experience as PIC in any operations conducted under Part 121</li>
<li>Must have current Flight Dispatcher License</li>
<li>Have a strong understanding of the Aviation Industry</li>
<li>Must have knowledge of Teaching Methods &amp; Instructional Design</li>
</ul>
Or
<ul>
<li>Minimum of four years’ experience in the discipline or related field.</li>
<li>Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science, Aviation Management, Aerospace Administration/Education, Commercial Aviation, Aviation Safety, Aerospace Operations/Engineering, Aviation Business Administration or similar field.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Preferred, but not required, Commercial Pilot, Air Transport Pilot, Flight Engineer, Air Traffic Controller, Airframe and Powerplant certifications.</li>
<li>Preferred, but not required, experience in airport operations.</li>
<li>Excellent spoken and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Three years documented experience in the aviation industry</li>
<li>Flight instruction and/or Post-secondary teaching experience in a Part 141 or Part 61 environment </li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>The faculty member must be knowledgeable and able to instruct in the following technical subject areas: aerodynamics, meteorology, aircraft systems, safety management systems, airline industry, flight operations management, human factors, and aircraft structures. </li>
<li>The individual must be able to conduct flight training on the simulators. </li>
<li>The faculty member must be familiar with using a Learning Management System for conducting face-to-face and online classes. </li>
<li>The faculty member will be responsible for the coordinating, planning, preparing, presenting, and evaluating classroom instruction and related activities, including overseeing all compliance requirements of the FAR Part 141 standards. </li>
<li>Managing agreements with flight training providers with the goal of increasing student completions in the pilot program. </li>
<li>The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, and occasionally weekends of any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned.   </li>
</ul>
