This role will support the team with coordination, auditing, and any and all functions related to the procurement of food and commodities.Responsibilities<ul><li>Support the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying sourcing needs to implementing ordering processes with suppliers and distributors</li></ul><ul><li>Support operations and Texas Roadhouse distributor by handling purchasing and distribution related problems associated with purchasing categories</li><li>Support the members of the Procurement Team with administrative functions</li><li>Research and source alternate vendors by coordinating sample delivery, evaluations and product testing and approval with the TXRH Food/Culinary team</li><li>Maintain records of negotiated contracts, etc</li><li>Utilize internal teams and programs to audit and confirm contract compliance</li><li>Work with Distributor and internal systems to Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future product availability</li><li>Assist in the Preparation and processing of Requests for Proposal (RFP)</li><li>Analyze Bids and Restaurant Usages</li><li>Research and compile ad hoc data for new and existing projects/programs</li><li>Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate product changes, with our restaurants daily</li><li>May come in contact with company trade secrets, confidential information, and intangible assets.</li></ul>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree required in business, economics or agriculture</li><li>Purchasing/Buying experience and negotiation experience preferred but not required.&nbsp; Restaurant experience a plus</li></ul><ul><li>Strong Microsoft Office Skills Necessary</li></ul>This job description includes essential functions and basic duties and is intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
