The Regional Coordinator ensures that there is awareness across departments of the key strategies for a particular region or district.College Credit Plus &amp; K-12 Planning<ul><li>Prepares materials to support registration and enrollment in college credit options.</li><li>Answers student, family, and stakeholder questions about registration.</li><li>Participates in regional planning conversations and develops an outline of all higher education-related initiatives for the district.</li><li>Handles correspondence, academic planning, and advising details for a specific region or district partnership.</li><li>Plans and manages reports about innovative programs and student success.</li></ul>Student Advising &amp; Support<ul><li>Provides advising support regarding matters related to the assigned functional area.</li><li>Explains the applicable paperwork, processes, and procedures to students and school counselors.</li><li>Shares resources available for students relating to individual needs.</li><li>Provides information on programs of study and next steps for enrollment, including admission criteria, documents needed, financial aid, new student orientation, placement testing, advising, course selection, and registration.</li><li>Facilitates presentations to students, industry partners, and community partners when needed.</li><li>Provides information on College Credit Plus to school districts and parents/families in the form of presentations (CCP Info Nights) and during other meetings at school partner, and college locations as needed.</li><li>Assists special student populations appropriately.</li><li>Advises students in person, via phone, e-mail, or other delivery formats as needed.</li></ul>Building Partnerships<ul><li>Works collaboratively and in person with district partners to increase opportunities for students.</li><li>Serves as a liaison to internal teams regarding district strategic plans.</li><li>Communicates across departments about district needs and priority areas.</li><li>Communicates with local high school counselors and district employees to share news from CSCC.</li><li>Maintains excellent customer service by providing timely responses in person, over the phone, and electronically.</li><li>Works with others in a leadership capacity on strategic planning and goal setting.</li></ul>Fiscal &amp; Administrative<ul><li>Processes registration forms as needed.</li><li>Keeps accurate status reports of districtwide initiatives.</li><li>Ensures compliance with state regulations as well as institutional policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintains confidentiality of student records and other confidential information.</li></ul>Culture of Respect<ul><li>Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Administration, Counseling, or in a related field.</li><li>Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in student advising and support or related field.</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).</li></ul>CSCC has the right to revise this position description at any time.
