With the launch of our new website, we will be creating and scheduling fresh content, while also applying advanced analytics to measure performance and inform ongoing improvements.</p><p>The Digital Marketing &amp; AI Research Intern will work as a contributing member of the Digital Marketing Team and partner with key stakeholders in the Marketing &amp; Brand business unit to explore how AI and analytics can enhance marketing strategy, audience insights, campaign performance, and optimized content creation. This role will focus on evaluating AI-driven marketing tools, exploring how AI can optimize discoverability and support best-in-class SEO practices. Additionally, the role will research audience attributes and behavior through analytics.</p><p>Insights from this AI research will be used guide marketing decisions, improve targeting, optimize campaigns, create optimized content and identify new channels or methods. The Digital Marketing &amp; AI Research Intern will emerge from this experience with strengthened professional skills, exposure to enterprise-level digital marketing practices, and tangible contributions to meaningful initiatives that advance National Life Group’s digital transformation.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></p><p><strong>Focus Areas for the Internship:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>AI for Marketing Tools &amp; Automation</strong><ul><li>Research AI-powered platforms for content creation, chatbots, recommendation engines, or ad targeting.</li><li>Evaluate tool capabilities, pricing, and applicability for different marketing objectives.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Audience Discovery &amp; Research</strong><ul><li>Use analytics tools (GA4, social analytics, SEMrush, etc.) to understand audience behavior, segmentation, and preferences.</li><li>Explore AI-based customer insights (e.g., predictive analytics, clustering, sentiment analysis).</li></ul></li><li><strong>Discoverability &amp; SEO Optimization</strong><ul><li>Investigate AI applications for SEO, keyword optimization, content recommendation, and personalization.</li><li>Examine emerging AI trends in search and social discoverability.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Data Analysis &amp; Insights</strong><ul><li>Present findings on AI opportunities or audience behavior in clear reports or dashboards.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Optimal Outcomes:</strong></p><p>By the end of the internship, the ideal intern would:</p><ul><li>Deliver a research report summarizing AI tools for marketing, with pros/cons and recommendations.</li><li>Identify key opportunities to leverage AI for audience targeting, content personalization, and discoverability.</li><li>Build dashboards or presentations highlighting insights from GA4 and other analytics sources.</li><li>Document best practices or playbooks for marketing teams to integrate AI in campaigns.</li><li>Provide actionable strategic recommendations of next steps to leverage AI for maximum impact on marketing outcomes.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: </strong></p><ul><li><em>Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. Major, specialization or minor in Digital Marketing highly desirable.</em></li><li>Strong writing and communication skills, capable of translating research and analytics into actionable insights.</li><li>Deep interest in emerging AI applications in marketing and emerging technologies.
