Compensation: $120 - $150 per hour, based on experience Hours/Schedule: Up to 25 hours per week, including day &amp; evening hours to accommodate patient needs Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities: Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: <ul><li>Conduct thorough assessments of children and adolescents presenting with mental health concerns, including taking detailed patient histories, performing mental status exams, and conducting diagnostic evaluations.</li><li>Diagnose a range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and trauma-related conditions.</li></ul> Treatment Planning and Management: <ul><li>Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in collaboration with the clinical team, utilizing evidence-based interventions including psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and behavioral health strategies.</li><li>Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications, ensuring safety and efficacy.</li><li>Using a multidisciplinary approach collaborate with patients and their families to educate them on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.</li></ul> Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team: <ul><li>Work closely with the clinical team, supervisors, school districts and other healthcare professionals, including primary care, to coordinate comprehensive care for Gateway Longview patients.</li><li>Participate in team meetings and case conferences to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.</li><li>Refer patients to other specialists or services as necessary, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, or inpatient services.</li></ul> Crisis Intervention: <ul><li>In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team provide crisis intervention services for children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health issues, including safety planning and coordination with emergency services if needed.</li><li>Offer immediate support and stabilization for patients in distress.</li></ul> Family Support and Education: <ul><li>Engage families in the treatment process, offering education, counseling, and support to help them understand their child’s mental health needs.</li><li>Facilitate family-centered care by addressing family dynamics and encouraging positive relationships that support mental health.</li></ul> Documentation and Compliance: <ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory standards governing psychiatric mental health care.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans.</li></ul> Professional Development: <ul><li>Stay informed about the latest developments in child and adolescent mental health care through continuing education, professional development, and engagement with relevant clinical research.</li><li>Participate in mentoring for clinical staff and students within the outpatient mental health clinic.</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Education:<ul><li>Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program.</li><li>Board certification as a Family or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).</li></ul></li><li>Experience:<ul><li>Preferred minimum of 2-3 years of experience in psychiatric mental health care or a related field.</li><li>Experience working in a child and adolescent outpatient mental health setting preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of developmental psychology, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health interventions for children and adolescents.</li></ul></li><li>Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Strong clinical skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating pediatric mental health disorders.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on family-centered care.</li><li>Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with children and adolescents.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.</li></ul></li><li>Additional Requirements:<ul><li>Required DEA # with preferred Schedules II-V; Specifically Schedule III allowing for OUD treatment and prescription of Buprenorphine.</li><li>Medicaid ID #</li><li>Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.</li><li>Commitment to providing culturally competent care to diverse patient populations.</li></ul></li></ul><h4>Working Conditions:</h4><ul><li>This is a 1099 position up to 25 hours per week, split between Gateways 2 main clinics (10 Symphony Circle and 6350 Main St.). In addition to the outpatient patients, the PNP will provide services to Gateway’s residential and SILP youth. The PNP will have a set work schedule that will include day and evening hours to accommodate patient needs. The role requires a balance of independent decision-making and collaborative care with other professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.</li></ul>
