Job Summary
Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher and TN state license as Respiratory Care Therapist or a minimum of one year experience in field.

Salary is $560 per credit hour. Workload adjustments will be made for faculty teaching classes where the number of contact hours exceeds the number of credit hours. Additionally, a travel stipend may be negotiated at time of hire for faculty traveling more than 80 miles each week to teach their classes. For part-time faculty who continue to work at Columbia State, salary is based on collegiate level teaching experience documented during the first semester of teaching.
Part-Time Faculty Duties and Responsibilities
The part-time faculty member reports directly to the dean for assignments/duties and is responsible for:

<li>Preparing for courses as assigned and adhering to departmental course syllabi and course minimum student learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Beginning and ending all classes as schedules.</li>
<li>Organizing, assigning, and supervising learning activities of students in his/her classes.</li>
<li>Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and for informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate records of student attendance/participating and grades.</li>
<li>Reading Columbia State email and responding to student questions via email in a timely manner.</li>

The Dean of Students is one of six senior leadership positions reporting directly to the Vice President of Student Affairs and provides strategic leadership for comprehensive student engagement and support services across the college. The position oversees key functional areas that promote student wellness, access, involvement, accountability, and success, including:

The Director of Data Strategy &amp; Institutional Analytics leads the college’s advanced research, data analytics, and decision-support functions. This role provides high-level technical expertise, data modeling, and critical analyses to support institutional planning, program improvement, accreditation, student success initiatives, and community impact evaluation. The position reports to the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning, and in concert with the Executive Director collaborates across academic and administrative units to generate actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
This position complements the Director of Institutional Research by serving as the college’s advanced analytics lead, responsible for deeper quantitative and qualitative research, improved data infrastructure, and forward-looking predictive and evaluative models.

Advanced Analytics &amp; Research

<li>Conduct complex statistical analyses, predictive modeling, and advanced data visualization to support institutional planning and program evaluation.</li>

A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods) in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Instruction may take place at any of the college’s campuses, at a clinical partner facility, or at a designated temporary location. Essential Functions:
