Job Purpose:&nbsp;&nbsp; To provide professional library services and support for student success at the Williamson Campus of Columbia State.&nbsp; This position also serves as the Cataloger for the Columbia State Library.&nbsp; Responsibilities include:&nbsp; maintaining a library environment that is open, engaging and student centric; providing instruction and assisting students in obtaining resources that support their studies at the Williamson Campus; assisting other offices as it pertains to student success; cataloging and managing library materials and bibliographic resources for student access; and actively contributing to a college culture of service for student success.&nbsp;

Essential Functions:

<li>Maintains the lead role in providing student (customer) centric professional library services at the Williamson County Campus.</li>
<li>Maintains the lead role in the provision of instructional services at the Williamson County campus and at other teaching locations in Williamson County, teaching library skills and research methods as needed to support the curriculum.</li>
<li>Provides reference and information services to students, faculty, administration, and community users of the Williamson County campus library.</li>
<li>Instructs individual library users in the public service area.</li>
<li>Prepares research guides and other teaching materials in a variety of formats.</li>
<li>Evaluates print materials, electronic databases, and internet resources for inclusion in the library’s collection.</li>
<li>Assists at the Williamson County campus with any public service activity required to operate the unit including, but not limited to reference, instruction, computer assistance and any appropriate service activity.</li>
<li>Participate in library policy and procedure development.</li>
<li>Cooperates with faculty in selecting materials and in planning for their effective use.</li>
<li>Encourages and promotes the use of the library and its materials and services.</li>
<li>Learns new technologies and provides training to others in their use.</li>
<li>Develops bibliographies and tutorials both in print and online.</li>
<li>Categorize and classify library materials, including books, CDs, films, newspapers, or other documents.</li>
<li>Follow library standards and guidelines when classifying documents.</li>
<li>Consider rules of Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, Library of Congress subject heading policies, Dewey Decimal Classification, Arabic subject headings, MARC21 and catalog materials in categories of advanced specialized backgrounds.</li>
<li>Ensure all material can be retrieved conveniently using standardized methods.</li>
<li>Perform original and copy cataloging and adapt online records according to guidelines in all subject areas and languages.</li>
<li>Adjust rules when new type of material surfaces and consult with colleagues on improving cataloging processes.</li>
<li>Consistently seek to review, evaluate, and improve library processes for student access and success.</li>
<li>Keep professionally current including new knowledge and understandings of new technologies and innovations.</li>
<li>Attend conferences and continuing education classes.</li>

Restaurant Team Leader - Unit 1521 Brentwood, TN

A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods) in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Instruction may take place at any of the college’s campuses, at a clinical partner facility, or at a designated temporary location. Faculty also provide academic advising and facilitate student success. Technology tools are routinely used to communicate with and support students.

Columbia State Community College is hiring a One Stop Customer Services Representative to provide excellent customer service to current and prospective students, parents, and other visitors in the Enrollment Services Officers. Job Summary
Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites.
Minimum Qualifications Required:

<li>Hold a Master’s degree or higher with a major in Music</li>
</ul>
OR
<ul>
<li>Hold a Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Music</li>
</ul>

Salary is $560 per credit hour. Workload adjustments will be made for faculty teaching classes where the number of contact hours exceeds the number of credit hours. Additionally, a travel stipend may be negotiated at time of hire for faculty traveling more than 80 miles each week to teach their classes. For part-time faculty who continue to work at Columbia State, salary is based on collegiate level teaching experience documented during the first semester of teaching.
Part-Time Faculty Duties and Responsibilities
The part-time faculty member reports directly to the dean for assignments/duties and is responsible for:

<li>Preparing for courses as assigned and adhering to departmental course syllabi and course minimum student learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Beginning and ending all classes as schedules.</li>
<li>Organizing, assigning, and supervising learning activities of students in his/her classes.</li>
