<h4>DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY</h4>Daytona International Speedway is a state-of-the-art motorsports facility and was awarded the SportsBusiness Journal’s prestigious Sports Business Award for Sports Facility of the Year in 2016. Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race” – the DAYTONA 500. Though the prestigious season-opening NASCAR Cup Series event garners most of the attention – as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing."&nbsp; Among the nine major weekends of racing activity are the Rolex 24 At DAYTONA, the DAYTONA Supercross, the DAYTONA 200 motorcycle classic and the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include track tours, concerts, civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.JOB SUMMARY<ul><li>Seasonal role which the primary focus is to assist the Event Logistics Manager with the logistical setup/completion and service during large spectator events and track rentals at the Daytona International Speedway.</li><li>Liaison between various departments to include DIS Client &amp; Event Experience, NASCAR Sales, Partnership Services and DIS Track Operations teams.</li></ul>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEvents:<ul><li>Primary event operations support for events.</li></ul>Assist in development of ideas and implementation for events including but not limited to:<ul><li>IMSA Testing &amp; Rolex 24 (January)</li><li>NASCAR Speedweeks events (February)</li><li>March Bike Week</li><li>Spectator events such as Jeep Beach and Welcome to Rockville</li></ul>Operations:<ul><li>Assist with the management of vendors including but not limited to Tent and Fence vendors, ATM machines, United Site Services and Jumbo TV screens in fan loading areas.</li><li>Assist with Midway Display layout and set-up for events including scheduling maintenance of and scheduling load-in, vendor parking need, restroom placement, trash barrel placement, set-up of fence, coordinate directional signage and marking of underground utilities.</li><li>Assist with order, inventory and placement of event specific signage.</li><li>Coordinate and distribute credentials and parking passes for workers and operational vendors.</li></ul>Sales:<ul><li>Working with the Sales/Marketing Department effectively prospect for new ideas to ensure reaching sales goal and assist the organization in achieving its overall goal.</li><li>Effectively monitor client's satisfaction with programming and follow up to cover all the details.</li></ul>Other Duties: <ul><li>Be a team player, helping others whenever assistance is needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by DIS Operations.</li></ul>Tools &amp; Equipment: <ul><li>Basic office systems including but not limited to computer system &amp; programs, AUTOCAD, database management system.</li></ul>Attendance Requirements: <ul><li>This is a seasonal role intending for January - May 2024.
