However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Please clearly explain on your application how you meet any of the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills.<ul><li>Two (2) years of Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) experience in a veterinary practice; OR one (1) year of CVT experience in an animal shelter setting.</li><li>Ability to effectively handle high-stress situations while still demonstrating the key values and mission of MCAS.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in supporting high-volume spay/neuter surgeries.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in assisting in the management of overall population/herd health in a shelter setting, including assisting in the management of infectious disease outbreaks.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work both independent of and in collaboration with veterinarians, other CVTs, and veterinary assistants.</li></ul>*Transferable skills: Your transferable skills are any skills you have gained through education, work experience (including the military) or life experience that are relevant for this position .
