JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This is a fully trained shop mechanic who is able to perform all required shop job duties and routine preventative maintenance functions. This position performs all repairs relating to a trailer and minor repairs relating to the refrigeration power unit. JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This description is for advanced mechanics that are required to perform all aspects of troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance actions on all electro/mechanical systems and other facility equipment. Additional duties include but are not limited to training lower grade mechanics and general building maintenance support. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Prefer Class A.</li><li>Preferred knowledge to handle all trailer and reefer repairs.</li><li>Have half of the following certifications with the other half achieved in 90 days of employment:<ul><li>A current ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Truck Brakes (Test T4)</li><li>A current ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Truck Suspension and Steering (Test T5)</li><li>Have one or all certifications in Cummins, Detroit or Maxx Force 13 Engines</li><li>Brake systems and components</li><li>Tractor diagnostics and repairs</li><li>Spicer-fuller, Eaton transmissions</li><li>Spicer-fuller, Eaton differentials</li></ul></li><li>Have knowledge of OSIIA, EPA, DOT and CSA related procedures and safety regulations.</li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the delivery of full trailers from vendor location to the Distribution Center. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to: <ul><li>Drive tractor, maneuvering into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.</li><li>Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.</li><li>Inspect trailer to ensure product is secure for undamaged transport of product.</li><li>Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in</li><li>maneuvering vehicle on the road.</li><li>Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.</li><li>Perform any other duties as necessary.</li><li>Meet this position's physical demands.</li><li>Ensures the load bars are engaged and pallets are secure inside trailer.</li><li>Uses scanner to ensure the correct load is inside the trailer.</li><li>May perform Line Haul Back Haul duties but is not required to perform this duty. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: A teammate in this position must: Have a High School Diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a CDL Class A License and successful completion of the McLane Driver Training Program. Not have more than two moving violations in past 3 years.
