Diversity at our agency means fostering a workplace in which individual differences are recognized, appreciated, respected and responded to in ways that fully develop and utilize each person's talent and strengths.&nbsp; Position Maintenance Mechanic&nbsp; Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time&nbsp; Location Suffolk County, Long Island, NY&nbsp; Salary $50,000&nbsp; Days/Hours Monday - Friday; 8am - 4pm&nbsp; Description Concern Housing is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to be&nbsp;responsible for the day-to-day maintenance needs of Concern’s various locations and general upkeep of the agency’s property. This position's home department is in Ronkonkoma, NY. Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp; &nbsp;<ul><li>Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various facilities/sites including carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, cleaning, yard care; &nbsp;repairs and treats structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, carpets; repairs door hinges; changes filters on systems, services appliances, reports malfunctions to supervisor; moves and assists in moving furniture and equipment at various facilities/sites; exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of higher skilled crafts person; maintains clean, safe and orderly work areas.</li><li>Required to be available for overtime hours as needed and as directed by Director.</li><li>Performs maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Director and Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.</li><li>Responsible for the care of tools and equipment being used in performing tasks.</li><li>Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul> Salary: $50,000&nbsp; Position Requirements High School Diploma (preferred) along with 6 months or more related experience (preferred). Valid Driver’s License and good communication and interpersonal skills, client/customer service skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team. Must have basic knowledge of cleaning products. The work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds and moving items over fifty pounds utilizes a team lift.
