Since our inception in 2012, EDP has helped more than 44 owners of well-run propane businesses transition to their own “next chapter” while benefiting everyone involved.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Loads, secures, transport, delivers, and unloads products to and from specified destinations</li><li>&nbsp;Provides exceptional customer service</li><li>&nbsp;Participates and promotes growth incentives</li><li>&nbsp;Perform daily inspections (DDVIR) of the truck, maintaining it in excellent working condition.</li><li>&nbsp;Must be willing to be a significant member of the service team</li><li>&nbsp;Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance</li><li>&nbsp;Maintains compliance with all federal, state, DOT and company safety requirements</li><li>This role includes on-call responsibilities, as the needs of the company require that you work past your regular departure time or otherwise outside of your regular work hours</li></ul>Minimum Education:<ul><li>High school diploma, GED or equivalent training and experience.</li></ul>Minimum Work Experience:<ul><li>Previous truck driving experience preferred</li><li>Basic understanding of computer concepts and usage</li><li>Physically able to lift 75 pounds and pull objects up to 125 pounds in all weather conditions</li><li>Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.</li></ul>Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:<ul><li>Class A or B CDL, Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement</li></ul>Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/DisabledThis job posting does not state or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. Benefits you can count on: <ul><li>Pay Rate: Drivers make $75K to 90K. </li><li>Day 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance. </li><li>Paid holidays: earn vacation time, and sick leave accrual from day one. </li><li>401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days. </li><li>Additional benefits: pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement program, and more! </li></ul> What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver: <ul><li>Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition. </li><li>Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery. </li><li>Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises. </li><li>Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions. </li><li>Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate: <ul><li>At least 21 years of age </li><li>Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) </li><li>At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience </li><li>Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications </li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
