Professor of Operations and Supply Chain (Transportation and Logistics) &amp; Endowed Chair The Department of Marketing, Management, and Supply Chain in the Woody L. Hunt College of Business at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a prestigious endowed chair position. The ideal candidate will have an established record of distinguished research evidenced by publications in widely recognized top-tier academic journals and be recognized as a leader in Operations and Supply Chain Management - Transportation and Logistics, especially on U.S.-Mexico trade and commerce issues. The faculty member will be appointed at the rank of full professor and is expected to develop collaborative relationships with the faculty and centers within Hunt College and other regional, national, and international entities to enhance the mission of UTEP. Responsibilities include scholarly research and publishing findings in top academic journals, instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels, and participating in the Ph.D. Program in Business Administration by mentoring doctoral students and serving on dissertation committees, serving on faculty committees, and engaging in community outreach specially with transportation and logistics corporations involved in the intensive U.S.-Mexico trade activities. The anticipated starting date is fall 2025. Salary and benefits are AACSB-competitive and appropriate for the required experience and qualifications. Hiring decisions are subject to final budgetary approval. Job Requirements: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics or a related business discipline, with a record of excellence in research (preferably focusing on U.S.-Mexico trade issues) and teaching commensurate with the rank of full professor with tenure at a Carnegie R1 doctoral university. Preference will also be given to applicants with policy-relevant experience working with various centers and institutes. Evidence of successful grantsmanship is also highly valued, as is working with government and non-governmental organizations closely linked to U.S.-Mexico trade and commerce. Assistant Professor in Transportation Engineering The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Transportation Engineering at the rank of assistant professor to start in the Fall 2025 semester. The creation of this position is motivated by the need to strengthen our capability in transportation research and education in the Department. The successful candidate is expected to: (1) contribute to the Department's undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS and PhD) programs; (2) develop a sustainable, nationally recognized, and externally funded research program; (3) participate in research with colleagues within and outside the Department; and (4) mentor students in their education, research, and professional development consistent with the missions of the Department, the College, and the University. Job Requirements: Applicants should have an earned Ph.D. degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering or a closely related field. Candidates should demonstrate teaching and research capabilities in at least one of the following areas that complement the existing faculty members' expertise: transportation data analytics, travel demand analysis, transportation logistics, smart cities, connected and automated vehicles, and/or highway-vehicle safety.
